I LOVE SBs.

But to be honest, after skating my Zoom Tre ADs hardcore for 2 months - I felt like they didn't feel as "grippy" as my nike Harbors, Classics, or Harbors do. But they last twice as long.

I skate and have skated all kinds of SB shoes for a while now, and if you're looking into buying a pair for skating, I highly recommend Blazer His (For ankle protection), Harbors (Insane grip), or Classics (Comfy and strangely have the best board feel out of all the shoes on ther SB line).
