awesome trade, tigers are going to be lethel with inge out the line up, we have protection. id raher have and average or under average fielder and an amazing bat than a good glove with no bat, i can understand that without pitching and defense youve lost half the battle, but with out offense youre screwed.
@mblm20042003 I get so sick of hearing all the hate on Inge. Sure, I think Cabrera is absolutely capable of playing 3rd. Inge was an underrated 3rd baseman, and has a cannon for an arm. I think this is a right step in the direction but getting sick of hearing the hate on Inge.
I'll miss Magglio, he'll always be a Tiger. I'm going to miss Guillen and hope Inge still works for us once in a while. But this Season is going to be amazing, Go TIGERS!

@DwighttFrye why?! the Tigers NEEDED Fielder. after Martinez went down, there needed to be a guy who was going to protect Cabrera. he would have gone back to being intentionally walked a lot. but, now we have Cabrera AND Fielder protecting each other. sure the infield defense will be pretty rocky, but the production on offense from these two guys will be amazing. the addition of Fielder in our lineup gives us one of the best lineups in baseball!
@tigers792 Is nothing personal,just that they are going to be paying a superstar salary for the next decade to a guy who in my opinion is no superstar.Unquestionably,Tigers did need a little extra offensive punch,especially with Martinez out.But if Fielder gets injured early during his contract,is no place else to put him,since first base is pretty much a last resort type deal.But I wish him the best in Detroit,have to,cause he's there,like it or not.
I'm not excited about this. Need help at 2nd base and 3rd base, left field, lead off and a middle innings quality relief pitcher. Defence and pitching are the key. With that amount of money we could have filled most of those holes. Now we basically have 2 first basemen!

Thats $23,777,777 a year, $65,144 a day, $2714 an hour, $45 a minute,$0.75 a second, and about $0.01 a milli second. Daaaauuum he's making bank he makes more money in one day than what most people make in a year.
