@starpreast it's a fanned-fret guitar, same concept as how a lute's frets were able to be moved to play different pitches, it allows for some variation. But I'm not sure the brand, I think andy mckee personally plays greenstone or greenbridge (it's green-something i can't remember)

As @jaggysnake3 mentioned the fanned frets help with the intonation of the guitar making the harmonic overtones more accurate, specifically with alternate tunings. The wait on a Greenfield is about 3-4 years and they typically start at $15,000.

The fanned frets allow the instrument to hold pitch better throughout the neck i.e. much better intonation. Like a harp or piano, the lower strings have a longer scale length than the higher ones. Dont know the physics of it, I'm not that smart!

With the dropped tunings as well, especially on the lower strings, the scale length will be longer and so the tension in the string will be higher. This helps keep some tension at the low tunings, avoiding the string flopping around.
