America. But he also oppressed his people by outlawing dissent and outright persecuting those who thought differently.

I learned one thing from studying history. There is never one side to a person. But like I said, I admire some things that Gadaffi said and did, I have mentioned these already. I find it absolutely beautiful that we wanted to unite african and arab nations (economically/politically) against the E.U. as well as the U.S. Reminds me of Che Guevarra and his ambitions for S. America. But he also oppressed his people by outlawing dissent and outright persecuting those who thought differently.

Gadaffi did everything for his people. If you read the green book you will see that his entire philosophy was for the protection of the people. He did not see himself as one of the "elite". He was just another Libyan. He did not turn into the crooked politician that the west has in every capital.

Gaddafi is my true hero. He is the only world leader that I know of who has done as much for his country. What he accomplished for Libya is truly the stuff of legends. If one looks at Libya in 1969 when this amazing 27 year old young man took over in a non-violent coup, and what Libya looked like right before the Nato bombing started, and you will see the biggest difference in a country. Libya went from being the poorest country in the world to being one of the richest, most prosperous.

The "free" healthcare was a myth. we have been going to Tunisia and other countries to receive the healthcare. we sell our properties to cover the cost.
Free education: our Secodary school certificates are not accepted out of Libya cose of the education system he created.
We do pay for electricity.

It is also much more expensive to keep doing, and the water under the Sahara desert is fresh and clean and needs only to be brought up to the surface. YOu have better living than any other country in Africa. You get free education and able to learn english while other AFrican nations have nothing at all. Now you have Al Qaeda.

The man made river does the same with the land and the geology of the area. and sea water desalination plant serves 20 years at least (costs about 20mollion USD) while the GREAT project serves for about 50 years with the CRAZY cost you mintioned.
You do not have to compare the money Gaddafi got with the money they can get in Africa because it is not fare.
Moreover, WE DO NOT HAVE AL-QAEDA in libya, trust me.

I do not know any of Al-Qaeda members in Libya especially in Tripoli where I live. The flag you mentioned was the Libyan flag before Gaddafi overthew king Edris in 1969. Gaddafi himself saluted this flag when he was in the army. How did you got this documented prove you mentioned?Give a prove?
