@qaz1wsx2edc345 haha ya and when they wanted to wipe out the mexicans they call in the Irish because them boys kill anything that gets in their path until they get the target.
Apparently the families in New York held a meeting with the Irish mob to bring them in as partners because they were so ruthless with dealing with their enemies or anyone that got in their way. Also the Sicilians felt the Irish shared a similar history and would let them into the mafia more so than mainland Italians.
@qaz1wsx2edc345 thats because gringos are jelous :D try to tell that to a mexican in his face he will fuck you up :) mexicans are way more dangerous so stuf if not someday you will find some mexican narco and he will throw you in some asid bottle :P they call it posole they will made you posole and 1 more thing you call damage try to contro alcohol and gambles ??? hahaha come on :P whatch some news kid mexico and america is in war whit mexican narcos its a bad thing not to be proud of it
@qaz1wsx2edc345 John Gotti and Al Capone aren't even Sicilians. The Mexican Mafia could become as dangerous as the Sicilians, but they would have to get more organized and more intelligent; when MM members commit a crime, they don't cover their tracks as well as the Sicilians did. Also the Mexican Mafia called themselves mafia outta respect for the Sicilians.

It's a great song, so intense...By the way, just to make it clear, sicilian it's a separate language and it's recognize by UNESCO as a a strong language without the risk of perish. The other languages of the italian peninsula that are recognized: sardinian, neapoletan, lombard, venetian. What the world knows as italian is the language speak in tuscany wich we have chosen as our common language. Great song and great movie...
Yes in dead a very god song, and also the movie, one of the best ever made (my opinion). It is a sicilian dialect but Italy is full of diferent dialect's. Wherever you go, you find a diferent one.
The moon is burning in the sky And I am burning with love The fire that is consumed Like my heart My soul crys Painfully I’m not at peace What a terrible night The time passes But there is no dawn There is no sunshine If she doesn’t return My earth is burning And my heart is burning What she thirsts for water I thirst for love Who will I sing My song to If there is no one Who shows herself On the balcony The moon is burning in the sky And I am burning with love The fire that is consumed Like myh
@PaTeR46 Lu tempu passa Ma non agghiorna Time passes, but there is no dawn Non c'e mai suli S'idda non torna There's never sunshine, if she doesn't come back Brucia la terra mia E abbrucia lu me cori My ground is burning, and my heart too Cchi siti d'acqua idda E ju siti d'amuri What she thirsts for water, and I thirst for love Acu la cantu La me canzuni Who will i sing to, my song Si no c'e nuddu Ca s'a affacia A lu barcuni If there is no-one, that appears, at the balcony
Uploader.. thanks alot I've been searching for the song, not in the movie context, I wanted to know the lyrics in Sicillian, and wanted to read the translation..
i am sicilian. i can speak italian but unfortuanetly not sicillian. can any one translate this for me? it really is an emotinal song however i dont know wht it really means i can only get part of it.

The song is really beutiful but I want to make clear that this is not Italian but Sicilian dialect. There are a lot of differences between Italian language and Sicilian dialect - there are obvious to anyone who is familiar even a little with Italian and listens to the song carefully.
Sicily is an island off the mainland of Italy but is grouped together with the country itself. You are right that not too many people understand the difference in dialect. Something to bear in mind too, is that Sicilians are romantic and loyal lovers and people. You hear it in the songs
Here is the italian translation Brucia la luna in cielo e io brucio d'amore Fuoco che si consuma come il mio cuore L'anima piange addolorata non si da pace ma che brutta nottata Il tempo passa ma non fa giorno Non c'è mai sole Se lei non torna
The moon is burning in the sky And I am burning with love The fire that is consumed Like my heart My soul crys Painfully I'm not at peace What a terrible night The time passes But there is no dawn There is no sunshine If she doesn't return
the moon is burning in the sky and im burning of love, the fire is cosumed just like my heart,my soul is crying,in pain,i have no pease, oh what a bad night, the times is passing by but the dawn is not coming, the sun wont shine anymore if she doesnt come back,my land is burning and my heart s burning too,she longs for water just like i long for love, who will i sing my song to,if no one appears on the balcony
the moon is burning in the sky and im burning of love, the fire is cosumed just like my heart,my soul is crying,in pain,i have no pease, oh what a bad night, the times is passing by but the dawn is not coming, the sun wont shine anymore if she doesnt come back,my land is burning and my heart s burning too,she longs for water just like i long for love, who will i sing my song to,if no one appears on the balcony

This is Sicilian languge. It is somewhat different than Italian. The lyrics to this song are not the same as Speak Softly Love, although the tune is very similar.
this is sicilian language..and look very different by the usual italian language ... i think ...sorry if i am wrong ... anyway ... beautiful song ... beautiful language ;)
Nasser ..... I'm trying to get the full song . There isn't anyone I know who has it . It seems ot have only featured in the GadFather III . The only thing I know is that it's by Nina Rota & he's the dude who composed almost all of the music for the Gadfather Series . But how ever much you look for it , you only get the Instrumental . The song version is what ben taken out of the movie .
Whens the last time you heard of the Italian/Sicilian Mafia??

Me duelen los sentidos cada vez que escucho esta canción. Por qué nos duele tanto el amor perdido...?

the moon is burning in the sky and im burning of love, the fire is cosumed just like my heart,my soul is crying,in pain,i have no pease, oh what a bad night, the times is passing by but the dawn is not coming, the sun wont shine anymore if she doesnt come back,my land is burning and my heart s burning too,she longs for water just like i long for love, who will i sing my song to,if no one appears on the balcony

The sicilian version is far superior but a direct translation to english would never work, so that is how speak softly came into being.

This is Sicilian languge. It is somewhat different than Italian. The lyrics to this song are not the same as Speak Softly Love, although the tune is very similar.

This is among the best songs I have ever heard . And the song could not have been used more emotianally by FFC in the movie .
I am not able to get the song in it's entirety though . If there is anyone who knows how I can .... let me know .

Nasser90santour 4 years ago
Nasser ..... I'm trying to get the full song . There isn't anyone I know who has it . It seems ot have only featured in the GadFather III . The only thing I know is that it's by Nina Rota & he's the dude who composed almost all of the music for the Gadfather Series . But how ever much you look for it , you only get the Instrumental . The song version is what ben taken out of the movie .
I guess the quest continues .....
