You said that this Detector has never failed you. Has the 9500ix ever failed you? I am thinking about getting one. I am either getting an Sti or 9500ix
Never received a ticket with one, if that's what you mean. Remember, the detector no matter how good, it simply a tool. In and of itself, it can't protect from tickets. It takes a sensible and attentive driver to do that.

@dalesalsa I used to have a Bel RX-65 and it saved me tons of times. Legal to have where I am so undetectability was not an issue. I now have a STi Driver just because I like the way it looks :-)
Thanks alot Ronnie.. good looking out. I boutght the Bel 995 model. Because I was able to get it at an extremely good price... I just did a trip to the capital city (3hours both ways) and it already saved me 5 times already on that trip alone.
Excellent investment..
Again thanks -- that STi Driver does look awesome.
I'm sitting here with a ticket because some punk ass traffic cop thought it be cool to give me a speeding ticket after I was coming home super super late last night helping my brother out with some equipment at an Arts Fair. It was super late, I wanted to sleep and there was no one on the road.... The asshole still gave me the ticket.. Fuck the traffic cops. I'm here now looking for the best and I think I found it.
fuck that cop bastard im sitting @ home right now because of sum SOB like you thought, me going 18mph ovr the speed limit, was ticket worthy and my license is suspended for 1 month(NC). I hope doing that doesnt make you think that ppl will slow down. all its making them do is buy 1 of these with my next paycheck and hav a further hate towards all local law enforcement that has nothing better to do then pull over innocent citizens trying to get places, bastards
I love my STi Driver. It has saved me countless times. As far as "givemethebest"? You are an armed revenue collector. Nothing more. Do you really think your saving lives and making your community safer by handing out tickets to people driving 10 to 20 MPH over the posted limit? And unless you are talking to people in Virginia and Washington D.C., nobody is losing their "little detector"
BUT why is the Sti driver the only one 100% proof ? is it the magnesium construction ? could some alumminium foil covering the inside of the case of say.. vector 995 .. be just as good ? i mean to cover the plastic case on the inside, and just leave the plastic "window" standard to be able to detect radars. !?!? what do you think ? .. or maybe a copied case of an Vector 995 made of melted magnesium..that would be an owesome test.
Currently. Right now we got VG2. Pretty soon they are gonna send us a VG4. We dont need em here cause they are still legal (unfortunately) but were gonna get em anyways and that means anyone in DC or Virginia that bought one of those super fancy "invisible" gizmos is gonna get a rude awakening. You can count on it.
YOU FAIL. You can detect this unit about as well as i can detect the brick in your thick head. Magnesium is very good at shielding electronic signals. And if a radar detector is in magnesium then guess what, it emits as much signal as a brick! The military uses magnesium to shield electronics because it is lite and durable and good at shielding and guess what if the Air force stealth planes such as the f-22 which my father worked on in his years at prat and witeny

Radar Detectors are not even illegal here but I just want the best...
Which is the best radar detector without the stealth insulation -- I don't need it to be undetectable.
Thank you!

@Choice777 The magnesium case helps but it is the antennae that doesn't leak emissions as well as the Escort Redline
qwagbeast 1 year ago
Wrong buddy. We are getting new equipment that can detect that. So say goodbye to your little detector.
givemethebest 3 years ago
With Current RDD technology, as of today this model is not detectable. Future, anything is possible.

use it then i am guess that is because there is still no way to detect through it
noth1ngmuch 3 years ago
lol.. the Sti driver is totally 100% undetectable. period.
Choice777 2 years ago 3
Guess again cop. This radar detector shields ALL emmisions. You cannot detect an emission if it is not there. You lose.
