Shinn isn't amazing because he's a coordinator, or because he's naturally gifted, he's the best because when he's focused on a goal, nothing can get in his way. He shows the Human spirit's ability to transcend all limitations, and overcome all obstacles. Also, never piss him off. When he's angry, he's much more bad ass than when he's determined.
My views on Shinn vs. Kira: They're both pretty much the same. If either had been put through the same situations as the other, they would've come out probably identical to the other. As far as who the better MS pilot is, they're skills are right on par with eachother for the most part. Seeing that Kira's supposed to be the "Ultimate Coordinator", that says a lot about Shinn.

Kira and Athrun had their time in the spotlight during SEED, but Kira became so over-ratedly popular that they HAD to put him in. And for those who think he isn't over-rated, tell me one other Gundam series where the protagonist has had plot armour to the point where their suit does not even get scratched during the final battle.

GOD THE ENDING EPISODE WAS TERRIBLE!! A kick to the leg from Infinite Justice, that somehow teleported in front of Luna brought down destiny. It wasn't realistic to Shinn's and Rey's strength, they should've put up a better fight and probably win.

@dzus123 Yeah, as it turns out, Fukuda's wife had it aginst Shinn's VA, so she recurred to character derialment. Even though the character derialment was for Shinn, in my case (and in a lot of other people's cases), Kira's "herofication" made him REALLY annoying, causing me to like Shinn even more instead of hating him.

Heck, the very creator of Gundam Seed/Seed Destiny affirms with all his soul that Shinn is the main character and Kira was the villain. Don't believe me? look up Fukuda's seed destiny 2006 interview.

In the battle against freedom, he was more preoccupied with getting Cagali back to ORB. Shin was smart that he strategized and caught kira in a bad spot. Regardless a win is a win in my book, therefore shin won that battle no excuses.

Yeah, I guess you can put it that way. But I think the fact that Kira only "Had one real big chance" was because that he wasn't trying to kill Shinn. I'm not trying to repeat myself, lets say for example, wen ur in a brawl and you decide not to hurt your enemy while he charges at you with all he's got, dont you think its much easier to just give him ur best shot rather than hold back? Totally agree. Remember Kira Slash the arm and the head of the Impulse of then Shinn call the parts out and push the damage part foward and blow it up. IF kira want to kill shinn then that slash would go a little bit lower and slash throug the cockpit then Shinn would have been dead. Also the 1st battle Shinn encounter Kira, Kira in that battle alone deal with Abyss, Impulse,Heine's Gouf and tons of mobile suits more in a flash, with out killing anyone, this has already proven the level he is on
If Kira Yamato intended to kill Shinn and not just immobilize him he should have been dead really quick. The difference between them is their killing intent, because Kira just intended to immobilize him he was not at his full potential while Shinn did everything he could to bring Kira down. As Aizen from bleach said "Its hard to step on a fly without killing it."
i have to agree with you there but i do not think Shinn wouldn't still pose a threat, when Kira and Shinn were fight in the Impulse and the original Freedom Kira only had one real big chance to kill Shinn and even then Shinn's Gundam proved to be the deciding victor but when Kira and Shinn were fighting in Strike Freedom and Destiny Kira could have killed Shinn with his torso mounted gun when Kira took Shinn's anti ship sword

It's true Shinn got the best of Freedom, but it was because he got to study him. Does it make him better? Yes, BUT only in that situation. And not all the credit should be given to Shinn. Remember that Rey helped. And so what if Kira has a suped up gundam? Shinn got one too! And who knows how hard it is to control the coordinations of the dragoons? I just wish Shinn was the ONLY 'protagonist' in SEED Destiny.
Personally I wanted to see this new protagonist in greater detail...rather than looking at same old characters doing exactly same things as they did before.
All those previous characters should have been only granted a role of guest appearances.... or the most they should have done was quietly provide guidance to new charas. Somehow.

Kira lost in the fight between him and Shinn in episode 34 was because, Kira didn't wan't to kill anybody, he hated to kill anyone of them, he sealed his power, if he wanted to kill him, why don't he just attacked the control room of Impulse? It's just because he don't want to. So, if Kira really wants to kill Shinn, who knows which one will lose actually? Don't say like we all understand it very much.

Jeez, all this arguing is tiresome. Shinn vs Kira vs Athrun. Y'know, all this would never have happened that had just given Shinn the series. Kira and Athrun had their time in the spotlight during SEED, but Kira became so over-ratedly popular that they HAD to put him in. And for those who think he isn't over-rated, tell me one other Gundam series where the protagonist has had plot armour to the point where their suit does not even get scratched during the final battle.

Why's everyone having so much hate on Kira? Shinn is one of the best pilots. And Kira is one of the best pilots, Not just because of his gundam, Sure that plays a huge part but even so, He was given that because he could use it to it's potential. GOD THE ENDING EPISODE WAS TERRIBLE!! A kick to the leg from Infinite Justice, that somehow teleported in front of Luna brought down destiny. It wasn't realistic to Shinn's and Rey's strength, they should've put up a better fight and probably win.

Shinn is a challenge for kira, he is a good pilot. They both could have killed each other. In fact, Kira had the chance to kill Shinn in the Destiny, but he didn't, so the fight continued. If a pilot is better for being bloodthirsty fine, but still, you have to look at BOTH SIDES

@xGaiDaigoji Not to start a flame war or anything like that, Ido think Shinn was a good pilot. He analyzed Kira's predictable tatics, he is smart, that is why he was able to survive. Kira's also good though, he had to come up with ways in the Strike to survive...and yes, the strike freedom is overpowered, I like the destiny gundam, but shinn was obvilously DEPRESSED at the beginning of GSD and it only got worse cause of the war later on...his own phycoligical problems caused his ultimate defeat

@dzus123 Yeah, as it turns out, Fukuda's wife had it aginst Shinn's VA, so she recurred to character derialment. Even though the character derialment was for Shinn, in my case (and in a lot of other people's cases), Kira's "herofication" made him REALLY annoying, causing me to like Shinn even more instead of hating him.

Heck, the very creator of Gundam Seed/Seed Destiny affirms with all his soul that Shinn is the main character and Kira was the villain. Don't believe me? look up Fukuda's seed destiny 2006 interview.

Yeah, I guess you can put it that way. But I think the fact that Kira only "Had one real big chance" was because that he wasn't trying to kill Shinn. I'm not trying to repeat myself, lets say for example, wen ur in a brawl and you decide not to hurt your enemy while he charges at you with all he's got, dont you think its much easier to just give him ur best shot rather than hold back? But in Kiras case he had to defend himself, but making sure as to not exert much effort of hurting Shinn. O_o

Totally agree. Remember Kira Slash the arm and the head of the Impulse of then Shinn call the parts out and push the damage part foward and blow it up. IF kira want to kill shinn then that slash would go a little bit lower and slash throug the cockpit then Shinn would have been dead. Also the 1st battle Shinn encounter Kira, Kira in that battle alone deal with Abyss, Impulse,Heine's Gouf and tons of mobile suits more in a flash, with out killing anyone, this has already proven the level he is on

If Kira Yamato intended to kill Shinn and not just immobilize him he should have been dead really quick. The difference between them is their killing intent, because Kira just intended to immobilize him he was not at his full potential while Shinn did everything he could to bring Kira down. the song is appropriate, i understand the reason for the lack and white effects but i think you used them too much. besides that i really like the video, let's see what you have next.
