@1stdeadpresident well actually ive come to kindof a stalemate with my playing. i typically just try and learn songs by tabs. I only now a couple scales and barely practice them, should i be practicing scales more or anything else.

@jcat1411 if you feel that you arent gettin better just keep playin cuz trust me you are. i felt that way when i first started playin, but yeah practice scales cuz it helps your fingerin on the neck, practice alternate pickin cuz there will be times where your wrist will get tired because you arent used to pickin for long periods of time. you can practice sweeps also cuz those help for control to both hands and sometimes the guitar you have can be a problem to. cuz i play best on LTD ESP guitars
