  • Wow the cherokee found more Creek indian land hehehehe Fun fact about the Cherokee, they came here from canada, they started taking Creek indian land, and now they brainwashed people into thinking the creek indian lands have always been theirs hehehe

  • I always thought that an eagle dance coud only be performed on a res or in an area that is not public, and could not be filmed in any way shape or form.

  • I am 1/16 Cherokee, blonde, pale, and light green eyes. no documentation or anything to prove it, would I still be welcome to events like these?

  • @alixxaesthetic Of course, pow wows are open to the public. I see people who have no indian heritage whatsoever attend them.

  • @alixxaesthetic I certainly so so long as you practice good manners.

  • Well, my dad Is a full blood but my mom is only part and people say, If your so much Indian why dont you look like it? Lemme tell you people, it's genetics! I mean come on!

  • @nativedreamcatcher26 Not all Native American Indians look like the movies.

  • @nativedreamcatcher26 the original native americans did not look like modern native americans today, the mixed bloods actually look more like the original native americans, youtube search kenniwick man and the florida bog mummy

  • Thank you for putting this video up. I'm searching through ever Cherokee Indian dances that I can. I'm a third Cherokee and my Great Great Great Grandmother was full blood. I'm proud to tell people that I am part Cherokee, I'm proud to say that even though I don't know any other Cherokee, I will stand up for my people. Even though I'm not apart of any tribe, and that I'm not a tribe member, I don't have a problem standing up for who I am and who my ancesters were,

  • osiyo aye tali awohali aniyunwiya nde... owasa dvnadadudalv ilisgolvtanv niga'dawu aisv nvwadohiyadv ale nasgiyai soqua aho! Translate that... and I will believe you are of the people...

  • @twoeagles12345 well i can tell you the first part is: "Hello, my name is 2 Eagles I am of the real People." as for the rest of that it may take me a while to read through.

  • are these real Cherokees?

  • I enjoyed the video and always thankful that we can still celebrate who we are.

  • althought i am not native american, its nice to see that this planet can still grasp some of the old world cultures. when we lose our culture we lose our history.

  • woya your always welcome in the tribe

  • It is good to have something left of our culture. Our culture have gone through many changes since European contact! Our skin color and features have changed also! America has too many stereotypes that bind the truth! No one didn't know how much blood of a tribe they were considering Tribal Adoptions. History also leave out the number of slave that were adopted and mixed in, the focus is always on White admixtures and accomplishments in Tribes! Many Fullblood Leaders have little 2 no recognition

  • full bloods, mix bloods geesh i can't believe that we still cannot get over the hate centered around the blood "quantam"...truth be told it was the us govt. that started that anyway...gramma told me;) "in the old days,we did not know how MUCH NDN someone was, we just knew their heart, not like we could cut them open to see if they had a drop of french or sumthin'.." hmmmm maybe SOME folks out there would do well to take heed of that...OH and guys, THANX FOR THE DANCE :D

  • @sp0ttedp0ny330 so true and skin shade doesnt show

  • Yes, wado for the spelling correction.....I often type too quickly and don't check my spelling. :-(

  • I married a Tslagi. Am I welcome?

  • did u mean Tsalagi?

  • if your spose is more than 1/16 native then yes

  • I to am full blood, the Eagle dance is a war dance. The Eagle was and still is the bird of war. What you are seeing is only one stage of the dance. Do Na Da

  • Can anyone tell me what this dance means, I mean are they dancing in honor of the bird or is it something else, also do they have a dance for warriors? Thanks

  • Im real Cherokee my name is Sonny Ledford and my name in the war group is usquetsiwo that means some thing u have or wear on your head that is my family name so belive me im on lots of bilbords and shirts and posters in Cherokee NC so next time you go to cherokee you will see me!

  • I am a fullblood Cherokee. I live in Cherokee N.C. Iknow for a fact that there not more whites or blacks than Cherokee. I am one of the dancers in the video. The dance is the Eagle Dance. I am also an embassador for my Tribe. To aldious 1010 Shki which means thank you. I agree.

  • thanks for the update

    and for the dance :)

  • @anigituwafullblood Hey I know many of the Cherokee dancers and the warriors of Anigituwa. Who might you be? I found cast member of Unto these hills Jason on here once so I was wondering.

  • i agree with NativeWalker!!!

  • I am cherokee and i am very proud of my ancestors! I hope and pray that the great spirit bless all of you, especially my cherokee brothers.

  • O-Si-Yo - In our world of today, so many people have inter-mixed within their nationalities. But this does not say they don't love their heritage or the people they came from. Our ancestors passed down many things for many many years...hopefully to new generations who will always appreciate their live's endevours and all they stood for. {{{ WADO }}}

  • im proud of my native heratage but nativewalker your right, their is alot of mixxed blood for us cherokee's. i have dutch blood because of that mix along with cree + mohawk

  • poor cherokee they have more whites and blacks in there tribe then natives :( i feel for ur full blood or three forth bloods.

  • does it really matter? As long as the culture is alive and continues.

  • i understand what you're saying. my grandmother was full blood cherokee and my grandfather was half. but i'm white as a ghost and i have blonde hair and blue eyes. my grandmother had black hair but pale skin. my mother had black hair but pale skin. my dad was irish/english and had the blonde hair and blue eyes (which is where i got my looks.) but it's very common for cherokee to be white with light/white features.

  • This isn't a grass dance.. this is the Eagle Tail Dance. A Cherokee dance from over 250 years ago.

  • thank you were the tsa logi etowa?
