Trying a high score run here on expert is the worst, someone is pretty much guaranteed to fly into you within a minute to break your wing, and the single laser doesn't destroy shit.

I wish you got points for killing Bill's wingmates as well as killing baddies. So many frigging times they crash into you and you lose your lasers and have to try to keep yoursellf high enough

Meh. I consider that a high score and all. But I still say you lost the level cuz you didn't take out the core. The whole point of that level was to save the base there was it not? So in the end, the ship still wins. Woulda been way more impressed if you did all that and took out the core at the same time.

Sometimes it's better to take out the core, sometimes it's not. If there's still ships flying around, then it's much better for your score to get those instead of taking out the core, since the core is worth like 2/3 points.

If there's no ships near you and the time's running out, then might as well shoot the core.

Fox just went in there alone and blew the hell out of the enemy squadron and Bill's entire rag-tag, panty-waisted, wing-breaking fleet of wussies. Then galiantly flew out alone, having not missed anything but the core. And only because he felt sorry that he killed all it's friends. One... at... a time.

dude I'm not bad at this game...My best for corneria is 276 and my best for meteo is 411. But I really suck at Katina! I got lucky once and got 194 but most of the time it's 170 at best. Any advice from anyone?

Don't play on expert. I can get 260 in Main Game but I'm lucky for 200 on expert. My wings get smashed the fuck off my ship, mostly because of Bill's retards.

And they move in clusters. You'll see lots of packs that you can get hit+2s out of im you hit the center one, and there's lots of em. Dont blow up the hatches either

leave em and theyll be waiting at the end, and you get more swarms of enemies.

Random, unfortunately. The only way you can manipulate it is shoot as many enemies as you can so the hatches open more often. If they're open as the timer starts, they stay.

They only take maybe 1 or 2 enemies from you on average in this level. The only level where they're that big a threat to points is Sector Z.

Is this Halo 2? Most people who do higscore runs of this stage and Fortuna, Sector Z, like to do things without interuptions from teammates, plus because their kills don't affect your score. Plus all of your allies are useless.

Shooting a bomb at the start is a mistake because until the mothership arrives (10 hits) there'll be unlimited enemys because if one get killed another will respawn. This stops when the motherships arrives.

But I wouldn't suggest to shoot a bomb after having got 9 hits because you'll only get a few hits (there aren't big enemy groups in the beginng) but later when

bigger enemy groups appear you can get much more.

Bill, like Katt and James McCloud, cannot be taken down by your shots, and James can't be hit at all (I suspected that that was not James at all and it was just a spirit or something)

It is possible to shoot Bill down if you focus on Bill and ignore the other enemies. Bill will still talk to you after being shot down though. I haven't tried Katt, but you are right about James.

Acctually, by the time it appeared in this video, it wouldn't have been worth the effort to destroy it. Also, to most people, it's more beneficial to go to Sector X over Solar anyway.

But he was able to take a few extra seconds killing more ships instead of the mothership. By that time, he could score more from one group than the mothership alone.  When there's only 3 seconds left on the ship, it's only worth something like 2 hits total. Remember, as time goes on, the initial HIT+10 drops, making it less worthwhile after time.

For some levels, it does. They can screw up your chances for a medal since you don't get points for anything they shoot down whether it be an enemy ship or a missile in the case of Sector Z.
