  • Johnny is more "masculine" than many...not just because he's in touch with his " feminine" side

but because he's not afraid to explore what it is to be "human". BRAVO, Johnny!

  • Johnny Weir is simply the best and most artistic figure skater EVER..!

  • He's so amazing

  • Ah! Amazing! I love you Johnny!!!

  • some great skating right here. Too bad he didn't just let his skating speak for itself, like it does here and instead became a laughingstock. Some people just allow their talent to go to waste. Sad to see.

  • i love the olympic commentors

  • I love Johnny!!

  • He is very lyrical. The last combo spin was shakey. But overall he has quality. That triple axel looks so perfect especially with the ice coverage. He is like a feather on the ice.

  • @Elepridumala your final comment disgusts me

  • @Elepridumala OMAEUSSAINNDAYOONAJIKAKIKOMIBAKARISURUNABOKEGA

  • @Elepridumala As are you

  • @Elepridumala You're an idiot! What's that got to do with skating????!

  • I love his spin from 3:08 to 3:13 and the way he waves his arms at the very end. Such a beautiful performance. :) Everything Johnny does is beautiful. He was most definitely robbed in Vancouver. That was the first time I had ever seen him skate and I was already infuriated by his placement. Hopefully he'll compete in Russia in 2014 and take home a medal then. I know if he does, he'll definitely deserve it.

  • Great quality, naturally fluid...so artistic...I totally agree

  • Johnny is my inspiration and the reason I continue to skate. Every time I feel frustrated I just watch something like this and remember why I began in the first place.

  • he and alissa czisny both used this for SP and dr. zhivago for LP haha. his hand movements are so gentle.

  • Simply awesome!!

  • this guy's got talent.. Very good skater.

  • AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • thank you @RothdeMan. I wanted to know the name of this man. In the videos I has been able to see, he always compliment johnny so much. He always emphasize the cuality he has skating.

Once he said he is "athletically graceful beyond belive". I think it is the perfect definition for Johnny. So many people think he is too much artistic. Come on!! He is as much athletic as artistic. He achieve the perfection in that precise point. That's why he should have one million thousand gold medals!

  • Johnny, I used to be highly against you and your skating; but mainly because of the opinions of my "friends". I've really come to appreciate how you are you. And the opinions of others don't matter. I do believe that you were very much underscored. More than once. I'll now stand up for you against anyone of my friends. Remember, gone but not forgotten. :)

  • I love him soooo much. I don't care if he medals. I don't care if he's gay. I just love him for who he is and the way he skates. He's amazing.

  • i never get tired of watching his opening triple axel... its just so perfect, so beautiful, so breathtaking...

  • I feel like bursting into tears every time I watch this

  • I hate how in the intro to this video the announcer specifically says Johnny skates to the song "quite plainly, and simply. What a jerk off, Johnny showed real emotion, and strength, and skated quite elegantly! Put some skates on that asshole an make him try an skate to this better! I am real ashamed of the skating federation, what this poor kid went through to achieve what he had, an still get slammed, all because of his sexual preference, he pulled of an incredible feat!

  • @kburt1 uh, Dick Button is a 2-Time Olympic Champion, 5-Time World Champion, European Champion, & 7-Time National Champion. As well as revolutionizing skating, from 1st triple jump in competition to simplifying the camel spin(and making it a mandatory move in skating). Dick Button knows his skating, as well as dance & opera and simply spoke the according to the story his portrayal was quite simplistic. Not a knock, just what it was. Dick adores johnny.

  • I used to not be a fan of Johnny Weir, but after seeing how badly he was treated at the Olympics, I actually find him quite an amazing skater. He should have gotten the bronze, most definitely.

  • Though I'm not a fan, this is a great performance and he deserved the bronze in 2010.

  • Breathtakingly.

  • I just LOVE watching him skate... Breathtaking interpretation... And just look at the red glove! Perfect detail! And I agree, he was sadly robbed of Olympic glory!

  • Johnny Weir: biggest talent of the past 30 years in figure skating

  • 84girasole gorgeous ,i support him for ever in my life italy loves yuo johnny weir and yuours family with aunt diane ,vanja hi i love yuo from italian girl i belive in GOD and i belive GOD loves whoever hi from bottom of my heart

  • so beautiful...I could cry!

    OMG he's unique!

  • I LOVE JOHNNY WEIR!! :) He is sooo Amazing!

  • Johnny weir is TOO good, that is why the media is not accepting him, just like everything else. :)

  • So beautiful. Johnny, you were born to skate, and no matter what anyone says, know you have many fans who love you. Your performances have made me cry so many times.

  • I love u Johnny!

  • Johnny is so fluid on the ice! I love this program and the costume, especially the one red glove. First rate performance.

  • This boy moves like water.

  • We love you Johnny! You have been underscored immensely but us figure skaters around the world all revere you as one of the greatest figure skaters of all time! Be good Johnny Weir!

  • No matter what the Olympic result were and no matter what SOI says, Johnny is the most unforgettable skater out there and is head and shoulders above anyone else. He will be around long after anybody else who medaled.

  • Love this program - Johnny looks so relaxed and graceful. I like the one red glove.

  • What a beautiful Swan!!

  • best SP I've ever seen

  • he is exceptionally graceful, what a beautiful performance.

Loved how he paid homage to the classic moments of Swan Lake.

  • It breaks my heart that Johnny was so underscored in the 2010 Olympics. :\ The crowd booed for both his SP and LP scores, and he was the only skater to get a standing ovation.

PS: Johnny Weir has not been invited to the Stars on Ice tour (the only figure skating tour in the U.S.) because they deemed him "not family-friendly." Tours are very important for skaters to earn a living. If you guys haven't signed the "include Johnny Weir" petition going around, please do so and spread the petition!

  • @dreamscapexl I know that's not fair! Johnny Weir should've gotten in! He's AMAZING!! :)

  • @dreamscapexl 84girasole,yeas i think yuo have reasons, isigned the petition many mine friends and family,i love JW a lot i think is wrote for judges thah and for ISU i amazing when JW skatting i almost cry,i see this program in night very tired i see JW anywhere ,i think is stupid do not invite JW in stars on ice i think ,i belive in God and only stupid and presumptuousto belive THAT GOD DON't love whoever and i m a italian girl his dad is unable to work ,brother at college AMERI CANS TO BOYCOTT

  • @dreamscapexl... Hi! Just wondering if the petition was still going around and where I can find it to sign it....

  • @hannahwig Google "petition johnny weir" and the petition's the first link. It looks like they still accept signatures, but the petition is almost a year old. Thanks for your interest though! :)

  • Love it!

  • tht was kool and usually I dont like any kind of sport but tht was awesome im gonna have to start watching his show

  • so what?why are u shocked ?! a lot of figure skaters are gay. i love this program-not many of any gender could do half of his skating moves. he's beautiful. gorgeous program. xx

  • very smooth, graceful, and marvelous performance by Swan Prince^^ Thank you very much for posting & sharing^^

  • Damm he should have one 1st place not 2nd, But hey Plashenko is pretty good. Did anyone watch the 2010 Olympics? I can't believe Plashenko won again!! I was disappointed because I wanted Johnny to be 1st but he got 5th

  • @purplebudgiee he got 6th:( i agree-that was unfair. lots of viewers felt that.-but one consolstion-none of the medalists have their own reality series on sundance like he does;) lol xx

  • I know!! I love watching his show, " Be Good Johnny Weir."

  • ps. does anyone have his long program from Torino?

He supposedly was 2nd after the short program but then finished 5th overall in the Olympics. No medal that he deserves :(

  • I'm not a huge men's figure skating fan, but I can't take my eyes away when it's Johnny on the ice! He's breathtaking and beautfiul! This is true raw talent! <3

  • OHHHHHH He is too beautiful

  • Everybody loves Johnny.

    He is everybody's darling.

  • Even if how, it is good whether he is a gay.

He is the skater who is splendid with a splendid human being.

  • @ikasumi1000

He is MAY BE gay,but he Can skate:))

  • and this matters why MysticalMind?.....he's talented and a great entertainer, how does him being gay affect his performance? oh wait...it doesn't. so grow up

  • calm down .. Im also gay, I was replying to someone saying that he was straight but just flamboyant.

  • umm....and?

  • @MysticalMind kind of obvious.

  • I was replying to someone saying that he was str8.

  • I love him! If I was a gay man I'd date him ;)

  • Love, love, loved his routine, if only the presenters would shut up! They completely ruined the mood.

  • @AstaMaack thank you! well-said! i think Scott Hamilton is super-annoying that he always tells what move JWs going to do before he does it--like he just KNOWS! Whatever-HE'S READING IT from a card i also hated the way that other guy barely disguised his contempt for Johnny's version of THE SWAN. "This is nothing like the actual story!" SERIOUSLY?! Who cares?! It's beautiful, and flawlessly done!*blahblahblah.* Maybe those guys are paid by the word. arrgh-I'd love a non-com. version.

  • So funny how some people get scared when we (gays) are proud ! And proud we are fuckers for enduring you sad haters !

Didn't know the guy, but way to go man !

  • whats the fuss aboout? OMG theres a gay figure skater?

  • Johnny is a mighty-fine skater. He nails his jumps, beautiful spinner, fluid movement. Why he doesn't get scored higher I'll never know. Crying shame!

  • Oh my goodness, this one is amazing. I hadn't seen it before but it is totally incredible. Such fluid beauty...and so underscored in Vancouver. Lysacek falls down so badly next to Plushenko and Weir.

  • While I don't think he was better than Takahashi or Lysacek in Vancouver (do not get me started on Plushenko), I seriously believe he was underscored. Should have been at least 4th, he was better than both Chan and (much as I love him) Lambiel. He was absolutely beautiful out there. :( We love you, Johnny!

  • @helenin365 I agree. He was WOW amazing. LOVE Johnny)))

  • @supermanblur lol?

  • Some gay guys have more of a feminine side than others and that's how they express it. It makes some people uncomfortable but that is just how some gays are. Not all, just some. Shouldn't he be allowed to dress how he wants, just like you?

  • TOTALLY AGREE!!! I'm straight and like to dress in weird fashions, yet people hate it for some reason, well... sorry people... I wear what I want...!

  • I love you Johnny!

  • The most beautiful ice skating I've ever seen. I was moved to tears the first time I watched it and still do when I watch it again and again.

  • I love him too, I'd love to go bear hunting with him and then knock off a few beers.

  • Sooo underscored at Vancouver.. Your still the best, Johhny.

  • robbed at vancouver !!! johnny you're the best

  • :'(

You bring out the true art form of figure skating. It shouldn't be based on who can jump the most. You were truly robbed of a medal, or atleast a higher score than you received

  • I think we definitely could make the case for his moving up to bronze medal position. He was 8.36 points out of 3rd, and I think the case can be made he was underscored on the 2nd mark in both programs. Had he gotten what many people, including the announcers, think he might have deserved, he just might have gotten on that podium. While Sandra was iffy about technical marks, even she said people were responding to the performance, and that's what easily could have moved him up.

  • Underscored. So, so underscored, Johnny... :(

  • he's my favorite!!!

    he figure skates very well!!

  • omg HE's the best!!

  • It's a total shame the scores they gave him ate the Vancouver Olympic Games :/ He skated so beautifully and flawlessly... It's definitely disgusting to see that judges now only give high scores to jump machines and overlook pure brilliantism and artistry. Now Johnny is ending his career without an Olympic medal and when he's gone, all fabulousness will be lost on the ice.

  • I think that's the nature of Olympic sports, unfortunately. Johnny is a dancer and an artist and should find an avenue where he can continue to be those things

  • Well, this is why (supposedly) there are two sets of marks. You can rate the technical brilliance or lack thereof, and rate the artistry on the 2nd mark. THAT'S where he was really underscored. The quality of the jumps he did was better than Plushenko's, IMO. But, like Plushenko he didn't have as much in between as Evan did. But Johnny was SO much better than Plushenko or anyone else as far as the artistry...

  • I love Johnny. I adore everything about him...his skating, his personality, the fact that he's cute helps that along too!

    YOU DID GREAT TONIGHT JOHNNY!

  • I love when he does really controversal things. He is a beautiful performer and I hope tonight he wins gold!! :D

  • omg i love im hes sooo amazin <3 favrotie ice skater ever!!! hes too cue too

  • This performance is so beautiful, i never get tired of watching it. Johnny is such a talented athlete.

  • who is "she"?

  • love Johnny...no other male skaters is as graceful as he is....i think him being so girly works very much in his favor in this sport. he could definitely put most of the female skaters to shame in the elegance category.

and he did a GREAT job tonight in the 2010 short program!

  • I love to go back to this program and hear how positive the commentators are; even Dick -crabass- Button avoids making idiotic comments. Well, anyway...Johnny Weir is so talented, funny, sexy, and charming! I really don't get why people are compelled to pick on him - trying to get people to misunderstand comments he makes.

  • @FourLeafClover1313 Dick isn't idiotic. He simply knows what he likes and what he doesn't. And is not shy about telling it.

  • It is a historical programm, the begining of changes in the men's figure skating.Really appreciate his talent&wish him a full Victory in this Olympic games!!!

  • I remember watching this 4 years ago. It was magic, was the moment I fell in love with him and his skating

  • And your point is? Being gay doesn't make you any less talented, or cute, etc.

  • No but it makes him weird as hell.

  • @Jeepman89 You know he never said anything about his sexual orientation, ever. So all you are doing is assuming. And I'm pretty sure that Johnny would take your comment as a compliment. He's just being himself and if that makes him weird as hell then that's ok. He's staying true to himself. That is what matters.

  • It's pretty obvious though. C'mon.

  • So? Seriously. I don't care whether he is or he isn't. I still love him regardless.

  • I remember watching this performance too!! Wow Johnny's just amazing. =)

  • lol, Dick Button's so snarky I love it.

  • Oh my god, I remember watching this on TV! I can't believe its already been four years since Torino! I can't wait to meet him at the Vancouver Olympics!!!

  • love you johnny

  • I love Johnny Weir.

He's an artist, as well as an astounding athlete.

    i love you Johnny.

Thanks for all your gorgeous performances.

  • Such an amazing skater.

  • Will he be in the next olympics?

  • If he qualifies he will be. I don't see why he wouldn't qualify. He must place in the top 3 at the U.S. Nationals.... although even if he doesn't, the selection committee can still opt to put him on the U.S. team.

  • Anything Johnny Weir does is completely amazing!!

  • My favorite routine of Weir's :))

  • 三年前在奥运会的赛场上认识了Johnny,三年后再这套天鹅,仍旧心动如初。

  • i love him!

  • Wow, he's so pretty here... really random, I know, but true!!! I LOVE him!

  • Scott: "He's so calm". Calm?! LOL "Calm" is probably the last word I'd use when describing Johnny Weir, but leave it to Scott to say something dumb yet again.

  • These spins are some of the most beautiful I've ever seen. Such a memorable skate, I'll never forget it. Weir reminds us of the artistry that is possible in this sport. He is a diva! xD

  • Te hehehehe i love scots commentary he makes it so much fun to watch!.

  • I take great offense to Dick Button's comment that Johnny's program was plain and simple. It's one of my favourite short programs of all time!

  • He definitely meant it as a compliment. Yes, he's often batty, but compared to the mindless bullshit that so frequently comes from Scott and Sandra, I'd take Dick any day. At least he occasionally shows some insight.

  • Dick is....senile.

  • i LOVE johnny weir... the commentator is right, he's so fluid in the knees! i always tense up in competitions. great performance. wow.

  • Absolutely beautiful.I love his style.

  • Such a beautiful performance!
