  • All of these wave machines are located on the surface. They are an eyesore that will deteriorate, and cause pollution.

  • I'm afraid I have to agree with yakakyak69.

  • Having worked offshore for many years now in a marine technical environment, I have to say that this device has too many moving parts, and is vulnerable to heavy seas. Survivability would in my opinion be very poor. The modeling may work quite well on a computer and test tank, but that's as far as it goes. Sorry!

  • @MsFishty This is a taxpayer money harvester.

  • not a smooth device. I question about it survivability. How long will it last?

  • How long it can handle the pounding of the ocean? Take a look on my projects! Nothing is in the water.

  • Sorry! I meant : almost nothing!

  • You are advocating the use of air, which is compressible. This project is moving in the right direction, maybe the rams are slighlty small but definately the correct mechanics. All moving parts however should be booted, as even a small project will never be robust in that environment. I wonder if they are using the dropping motion to pump as well?

  • Impressive! It goes up and down with tides?

  • yeah, why aren't more projects on a middling scale like this?
