Who are all these armchair geneticists? I was searching cute baby vids and dunno how I ended up here but, anyway, Cri Du Chat is a rare, severe disorder. The cry is DRAMATICALLY unlike a typical baby - a very high pitched kitten-like mew that would make anyone think something was up. Generally, too, facial features suggest a problem at birth.
...are u sure? I mean...there are many hard-diagnose genetical and hereditary mutated diseases today...like the Imperfect Osteogenesis, or Crystal Bones...or Pethers-Calve-Legg's Disease. My best friend just got oerated with the last one... O_o

This is absolutely ridiculous. All of you that are playing doctor need to realize that the condition is incredibly rare and that postnatal tests are preformed before a child is allowed to go home. Just because she posted a video of the baby saying its cry sounds like a cat does NOT mean he has cri du chat. He does NOT have this syndrome everyone on here is telling me about. He is 2 1/2 years old now and is a perfectly fine little boy :o)

theres other symptoms of cri du chat syndrome other than the "kitten cry" - i'm sure if it was that disorder, they'd know it by looking at his chromosomes before he was born. or by looking out for the other symptoms. just because a baby has a quiet cry doesnt mean it has a disorder. your son is super cute :3

@allyloveszack Not everyone knows about Cri-du-chat syndrome. It's very rare and some don't even hear about it until they take Biology class, which I never did until college. Even so, in the first part of this video, the baby sounds normal. I got a little ticked with the "Meow" though, but that could just be due to that person's lack of knowledge and my suspecting Cri-du-chat.
