Alright. Keep abortion legal. HOWEVER, any woman going in for an abortion should have her tubes tied right there on the spot. I think that would curb abortions. As it stands, a woman can have an abortion for any reason. Barring extreme circumstances (i.e. rape, life-threatening health issues), if the woman has no interest of bringing a child into the world, she should get her tubes tied along with the abortion. The threat of sterilization will make a woman think twice about abortion.
Why stop there? Why not change the law so we recognize females as property rather than people? You could chain them to your water pipes in your basement, beat them, have sex with them, sell, trade or buy them as they age, etc...they don't need any rights or freedoms, right?

All women have a choice, to not have sex...Now if they are raped, that obviously isn't their fault but the decision is just as difficult. No matter what choice is picked she was always a mother, she was always pregnant, and It will always be a Hard decision. If you work with women that have done all three by FAR the one that is most regretted is abortion. It is unnatural and will rip your heart out. @happyboutlife1 Carrying a child to term and giving it life, then abandoning it to strangers and running away is a cold, hard punch in the gut for many foster/adoptive kids. Some do find happiness, but for many, the rejection looms over them. It's not a great way to start life. For many women, never knowing where or how their child is rips them apart and many wish they'd aborted so it wouldn't haunt them. It's a personal choice though. Abortions aren't pleasant, but sometimes the right choice.

Alright. Keep abortion legal. HOWEVER, any woman going in for an abortion should have her tubes tied right there on the spot. I think that would curb abortions. As it stands, a woman can have an abortion for any reason. Barring extreme circumstances (i.e. rape, life-threatening health issues), if the woman has no interest of bringing a child into the world, she should get her tubes tied along with the abortion. The threat of sterilization will make a woman think twice about abortion.

No matter what choice is picked she was always a mother, she was always pregnant, and It will always be a Hard decision. If you work with women that have done all three by FAR the one that is most regretted is abortion. It is unnatural and will rip your heart out. Some do find happiness, but for many, the rejection looms over them. It's not a great way to start life. For many women, never knowing where or how their child is rips them apart and many wish they'd aborted so it wouldn't haunt them. It's a personal choice though. Abortions aren't pleasant, but sometimes the right choice.

I didnt say abortion WAS rare, but that it should be. It's more like that is the goal or the ideal. If abortion were legal, but rare, it means we have tackled the problem of unwanted pregnancies. And that is a GOOD thing - unwanted pregancies are bad news.

The fact stands that abortions aren't rare and that many many women want to use them as a means of convenient birth control. ( and that's what they mostly are) Keeping them legal in such an aspect only furthers the spread of abortions not inhibit them. My argument has never been to tell women if they can choose to have sex, only that they should not be allowed to legally kill their own children.
