Found you on U-Tube after googling info on the 2009 Les Paul Traditional Ebony - just picked one up. Anyway, you rip, and you have inspired me to learn things that are out of my "musical lexicon", if that makes sense. Thanks for the videos. DJ in MI
@LGuitarB Thanks. What I typically do is to take a theme and play off of it, I studied at GIT in the 90;s and that was something I picked up from Carl Verheyen,
@misterreality: now how did I miss that name over the years? I just looked him up and he played with all kinds of great musicians! And it is a thoroughly Dutch name at that!
@mattchurchill the best part is you influenced me when I saw you using the SG, and I stole some of your licks. LOL so I think you are stealing from yourseld. Thanks man! It's always awesome to get your stamp of approval!
That SG sounds great! Very nice tone indeed. It just has that killer vintage to it. Love the melody at 0:16 - it does feel like Larry! I went through a big Carlton phase at one point, though you could never tell by my playing. I really liked his acoustic stuff, too, like Discovery, etc.

Very nice improvisation! Its so well put together that it sounds like an arranged solo, rather than an improvisation.
