Joss Whedon is my inspiration as a writer. I literally grew up watching his work. I was two when Buffy started and I used to watch it on my Mum's lap (she was a hardcore fan) since then he's been my idol.

I actually really did NOT like "Epitaph One" i think it was one of the worst episodes and i really hope thats not how the second season will be. because they had it how dollhouse was all over, and caroline is in this kids body, and i just like when they are actually in the dollhouse better

I agree with you, and apparently am one of the only ones. I like the way the show is going, so by the time it reaches a point like Epitaph One, I will probably be okay with that trajectory. Otherwise, I thought it was like other more traditional scifi shows.

I AM OVER the networks telling me what is ok for me or not, or ok for people or not... Here is an idea, put it out there, people will come to it or not. Want to talk DARK what about the 900 CSI shows all about murder and death? What about all the Law shows and the Cop shows all about crime and punishment and ignorance and drugs... The NETWORKS are sick and entertain sick minds with that shite. Dollhouse and othershows about the human spirit overcoming are way to few and far between.

imo fox is definatly going to do season two with joss this show has been the 1st and 2nd most watched show on fox for the last few weeks they would be crazy to turn down a second season of such a great show but such an AMAZING director. joss owns so does eliza! cant wait for season 2. apparantly dollhouse had really bad ratings though, which sucks, because if you incorporate everyone who is watching the show around the world it wouldnt be bad ratings, they would recoup money from dvd sales i expect when it is released in other countries as well. I really want a second season.

I want a Season 2 almost more than anything... yeah, Dollhouse had a shitty timeslot, but the online views have been spectacular, clocking in at around a million or more per episode just within a week or so.

With the current execs at FOX saying they *really like* the show, and currently being in negotiations with Joss and Eliza to get a second season, I'm an optimist - Season 2 will show up.

We still don't know the true purpose of the dollhouse either. Some think it's like the fountain of eternal youth by transfering a mind to a new body, but I think it is deeper than that! I got my own theories.

1-) The Dollhouse exists to compile all the knowledge of human kind, into a single living cell computer. Evidence for it is how the corporation behind the Dollhouse was experimenting with fetuses and their brain development. Why? Because as Alpha said "The world is doomed", and the Dollhouse and how it is operated by being self-sufficient, will be a sort of "colony" that will survive.

interesting, i wonder what they think will end the world though to require them building this colony. So many options they could pick from lol. I've always thought the actives could be made into super soldiers as well by putting all the best parts of soldiers into one imprint. :)

If you think about it, the 13th episode takes places in a "post apocalyptic world" according to Joss Whedon. Now...why would there still exist a Dollhouse in a time like that?
