I have this phone for less than 2 years and it's totally crap, but it was good enough for a first android. In other words, I knew what I was getting and now I'm moving for a better Huawei device, the U8800

I bought this just to try it and it lags like hell compared to phones with msm7227, gaming is impossible! Because of no 3d on 845 while there is adreno 200 on MSN 7227

Cons

- Plastic screen scratches easily without a protector (had some grit on finger and scratched it)

- Android 2.1 won't run skype "browser unsupported" error

- No 2.2 Upgrade as yet that I know of

- Resolution not as good as more $ phones

- Small screen can make typing difficult for fat fingers

- Battery lasts about 2 days standby (with 3G, Wireless, Satellite and Full brightness turned on, and standby selected as soon as not using) and 3-4 hrs heavy use (downloading while using Apps).

It's brilliant value for money and seems fast enough, however it is my first smartphone, so nothing to compare it with.

The Pro's & Cons as I see them to date:

Pros

- Screen seems fine for most purposes, but higher res is always nice

- 500 - 600Mhz processor copes well with all apps and tasks I've asked of it

- Doing 95% of what a 4x more expensive phone can do

- Android 2.1 OS

- $NZ200 Price with $200 vf calling credit on Pre-pay = basically free!

- Small size = perfect for pocket

I have this phone and it was the worst purchase I ever made.

I'm sure Android is fine but the phone crashes all the time, the 'touch screen' is a soft pad that has to be physically pushed in order to work, sending texts is an immensely frustrating experience unless you have petite, child fingers - even on the largest text setting - and the whole phone is basically a cheap piece of c**p!

@edmundos99 and I forgot to add that the icons randomly won't work, eg when you try to access your gallery pics and sometimes you touch the pic to view but other times you have to hold it down to bring up another menu and then select 'view' - apparently randomly.

You also get jittery and interrupted music when you're listening to the mp3 player and you do anything like open your playlist or basically do anything. Not to mention the world's crappiest headphones that come with the phone.

@edmundos99 Speakers are also way too quiet. You have to buy a separate Mini-SD card to do anything. The camera is crap and slow to zoom. Every application takes a long time to load. Terrible, terrible phone. Avoid

i got no manual with mine. can anybody answer a qustion for me please. Im using vodafone 360 and downloaded the windows live messenger onto the phone . its under the icon 360 people. my question is this " how do i delete my chat history with a contact?" it gives a list of all my contacts which were imported , then when i 1-tap on a contact , 2 tap on windows live messenger, it shows the chat history between us from earlier. I cant figure out how to delete it. pls somebody tell me?

I think vodaphone has announced this phone in competition to T-Mobiles Pulse Mini which also runs Android 2.1 with a price tag of £99 available on pay as you go. If you want something more "exotic" but same size try the HTC Wildfire which will be coming soon, but with a pricetag of near £300.
