He tries all sorts of ways to reduce the smell by washing, but to his error in perception he cannot work out the problem, resulting in a comic paradigm.
Tell me if im wrong but i believe this to be like a huge metaphor about the way we percieve our problems? We are so worried about our appearance or ourselves in general we don't realise it's the way the world has been built around us?
