There are many people that are cancer victims as teenagers, that survive abusive parents and poverty and they don't accuse someone of a horrific act THAT NEVER HAPPENED IN ORDER TO GET MONEY FROM THAT PERSON. Ron Zonen has a very strong interest in making sure that Gavin turns out to be an upstanding citizen. Since the apple doesn't usually fall far from the tree, Zonen's reputation will be killed if - as I suspect he will - Gavin tries to scam someone in the future.

Very interesting. Zonen seems to like Gavin. more than MJ. Actually he seems to be more on Gavin's side than MJ even though he does say it was a shakedown.
