Hi, I have a problem with my XTI 2000. I've send it in twice now. The one ch is completely dead until I open the volume on my mixer about 60%, then it suddenly came on. If I put the amp input mode to "Y input" the problem is fixed but then my stereo sound is gone! The company repairing it say there is nothing wrong when I send it in, have anyone experienced this problem?
I have two of these amps and they clip so quickly....I have one on bridge mode running 4 ohm load amp should be 3200 watts but it clips like nothing....
hello i want to ask about my crown maro tech power amp, there's a bit of problem on the channel b.if the volume is on 0 one of the led light still lights up.but it works properly.is there a problem on the amp or in the light only,thanks..
Hi Bud to give U a heads Up, doing this to a XTi amp will Kill ur speakers, When any power amp clips its really sending DC Voltage to your speakers, the speakers Need AC Voltage to work, it will burn up your voice coils, also cliping your amp will Kill the Output transformers aswell, If that happens ur amp will become an Expensive paper weight. Just some tech info for you as Ive fixed many crown amps due to mis-use by there owners, and it takes just a bit to kill your amp or speakers
@BlastEntertainment84 Thanks for the comment dude, just to let you know we filmed this as gaz, the guy who owns it was getting big headed saying ohh it wont do it any harm when we new it was, cheerrs
@DJJASONPRODUCER Hi buddy, in most cases, if U have a limiter set on the xti amps say for example -3db, the amp will limit to that but it can still show U clipping on the input side of the amp as well as the output. if U set a limiter up on it but it still says its clipping that means then U reached the limit point or went over, try to set the limiter at a -12db it will help a little more. any other questions PLEASE feel free to ask.
@BlastEntertainment84 ohh i get you now im runing an xti2000 brige to a 800watt rms sub giving me up to 3,200 peak so if i set it up to -12 it will hold down the peaks better?
@DJJASONPRODUCER hey buddy, YES!!! , all depends how hard U push the amp after ur limiter is set up tho. EVEN THO u set a limiter, U CAN still clip the amp. I Have (4) xti 2000s, I will do some tests with them and give U the best settings, the XTI series all have the SAME programing. so all settings work the same way, shouldnt matter if its the xTI1000 2000 4000 or 6000. Ill do some tests tonight and send U the best settings for Bridged mode and Limiter settings.
@BlastEntertainment84 Hey thanks in that cast all give you my settings i have it on brige but insted of musing the Y conection i have it on ch1+ch2 mode i feel more thump having it that way. Next i have a EQ i set up my self to have more low end. Thats how i have it runing one 8ohm sub
@DJJASONPRODUCER ok buddy here ya go, Xti settings, I did some tests with mine and I got the best result like this: Bridged Mode, Channel 1 Y input, NO EQ I disabled the eq cus it gave me or clip problems, I just had the cross over on, U will need like 35 to 80 HZ for subs, I wouldnt go higher than that or it will sound like alot of MIDS. LIMIT to -12 db on Channel one if the amp is BRIDGED. for subs U should only need to Activate the crossover, NO EQ. U will get wasted power with the EQ on.

@yogojack that guy must be nuts. but crown amps do have a procetion on the them.
But a good rule is 1.5 x the power RMS of the JBL unit.

@BlastEntertainment84 Hey what if you set the limiter but the clip light still flashes dose that mean its peaking or limiting?
