  • I loved this show! I was 10 when it came out, and all my friends and I had to have shoulder holsters like the members of Strike Force, for our cap guns. We ran around the neighborhood(we even had a girl on our team, though she was a blonde)and shot each other, crashed our bikes or wagons, and generally raised hell, pretending to be on Strike Force.

  • I'd love to have this on DVD.

  • I remember this show, I liked it a lot and it was gritty, sexy, and underrated. Lots of hot women with big tits getting killed on the show as I recall.

  • For all you Strike Force lovers, i have uploaded a full episode.

  • A great, but very underrated tv series it was on Friday nights on ABC; Ithink it was on against Dallas on CBS(only a very few shows could go up against Dallas at that time) and i don't know what was on NBC at that time,Strike Force could on another night and time done better but ABC didn't see it that way and cancelled it after one season, and i agreed this show should have been released on DVD everything else is out.

  • I remember this show quite well. Lasted 1 whole season (81-82). I liked it, and so did my family. I was sorry it didn't get renewed. Some of the cast ended up showing up on T.J. Hooker as the villain of the week, llike Richard Romanus and Trisha Noble.

  • i want to suck trisha noble's lovely australian tits

  • This show appears to have had a fairly large budget.

  • Loved this show as a young'ern. They never should have taken it off the air. Thanks for posting the intro/opening!

  • I Loved this show!!!!!

  • When the hell are they going to release the show to DVD. At age 11 I loved this show. I believe there are 22 episodes that ABC has stashed away in their fault somewhere.

  • I would also like to see strike force released on DVD

  • I still remember the ABC primetime line-up: Matthew Star, Nightrider, then Strike Force. Threw down a lotta zingers and hostess cup cakes watchin those shows. Fond memories from a special place in time.

  • @nopermitsnoparlay Actually, "The Powers of Matthew Star and Knight rider were on NBC!

  • I've found out what Dorian Harewood is up to: He did the voice of War Machine from the "Iron Man" animated series, and he also played Eightball, the soldier who has gotten hit by sniper rifle fire at the near end of "Full Metal Jacket".

  • I loved this show too!

  • I think this was the American version of the popular Japanese seventies-early eighties tv series Gメン75

  • This was the shit! I miss this show!

  • Trisha Noble had nice big bouncy Australian boobies back then.

  • I never much liked police shows, but this was an exception. That theme song got burned into my mind, catchy little bugger! :-p

  • I used to watch this show with my Mom when I was a kid. If I recall, it was on ABC. I wish it had lasted longer.

  • @snoops71 I believe this was on a friday night at the same time slot with CBS's Incredible Hulk. I watched Hulk and never saw Strike Force ! I hate tv today, this was the days before people like Cam Gigadet was even born !

  • @vkoo32 I too hate TV today. It's full of meaningless crap, with lots of sarcasm, profanity, and nudity. I also watched the Hulk, so I guess was turning channels between it and Strike Force.

  • @vkoo32 Yes, I wasn't even born then, but my parents had taped (on a Sony Betamax player they bought in '76 or '77) every episode of Strike Force, Vega$ (with Robert Urich), and Most Wanted (with Robert Stack), and a handful of episodes of Hawaii Five-0. Both the player and the cassettes are in pristine condition, and I regularly watch all the four shows.

  • If u like this download

    MIAMI VICE

  • My god! Strike Force! I loved that show to death! Forget all of today's limp-dick police procedrals and endless CSI clones! Gimme cop shows like this one where the good guys kicked copious amounts of ass before taking names! This show needs to be released on DVD yesterday!

  • I loved this show. It was one of the best cop team shows ever in the US. It's almost right up there with "HAWAII FIVE-0".

That group walk at the end combined with Dominic Frontiere's bombastic triumph definitely indicates that some bad guy is about to get his ass shot off and handed to him!

  • I thought of Strike Force as kind of a lame Most Wanted redux. One of my roommates always chuckled at the idea of Herb Edelman as a commissioner.

  • The show was awesome, but the title theme was even more so... all schmaltz and bombast, perfect for a cop show!

  • This was a good show that should have lasted longer than one season;but they had it against Dallas on CBS and i don't know what was on NBC at that time .

  • I loved this show. Right wing Reagan era crime fighters. Shoot first ask questions later.

  • Damn, this is crying out for a good remake.

  • Holy crap I've not seen this since the last broadcast! I was always Trisha Noble's character when we played "Strike Force" as kids. God do I miss the old days of good television!

  • This show was HUGE on guns! I remember thinking how cool it was that everyone had guns and they were always flashing them. It's like a big NRA commercial! Don't mess with Robert Stack and his Big Gun!!

  • I remember this show!

  • this guys like to do alot of rolls and flips.

  • I think the remaining members should do a reunion movie with a new mission: Tracking down who killed Capt. Murphy and the Commish (Both Stack and Edelman died for real) with Murphy's friend as their new leader. Even though they'll all be in their 60's, they can still be like Clint Eastwood.

As for Trisha Noble, she should have a great role as an undercover singer for a nightclub to find one of the killers, and gun that criminal down. How about that, guys?

  • @warriorsorochiman not bad I'd love to see anything that would bring this show back into the public long enough to warrant an official release. Saw most of this series over the last few weeks from old recordings, great show.

  • @blackadder3 Did you know that Richard Romanus has a brother named Robert Romanus? Robert looks a lot like Richard, and we all know Robert as Damone in "Fast Times at Ridgemont High".

Like I said about a brainstorm for a reunion movie, Robert should have a role as Richard's twin brother that joins the Strike Force in times that Richard's brother can be used as a decoy to get to the hideouts of Murphy's and Klein's killers.

  • @warriorsorochiman Yeah I know about Robert Romanus, it would be cool to see him and Richard work together.

  • @warriorsorochiman Thats a great Idea ! Check out my new video of Trisha Noble in a Strike Force clip.

  • @vkoo32 Just saw your clip! It has been WAY TOO LONG! Why can't we have it on DVD??!!! Thanks for the clip.

  • @snkpliss No problem snkpliss, I will try to upload more videos of Strike Force.

  • SF was a really well done show and one of my all time favorites from back then.

  • Trisha Noble has an Australian accent in real life.

  • Wow.

I remember watching this as a very little kid.

One episode, kids kept committing suicide because they were eating LSD off of the back of green frog stickers. Scared the hell out of me because I don't think I even knew what drugs were.

Would love to see that episode again. My experience with green frog stickers, thankfully, was much more positive.

  • My bro and I watched this show! It marked the return of gunfights and fistfights to network TV. From about '77 to '80, there was an outcry of too much violence on TV. As a result, the "teeth" were taken out of action shows. They became lame and quite boring. Then all of a sudden, they put the action back which resulted in shows like this.

  • strike force should get released out on

    DVD

  • Whatever happened to cool tv shows intros like this?

  • I was in the Police academy when this show first aired, and I LOVED it!

Thanks for posting the theme song.

I have a website that you can order the series on DVD from. I got the box set, good quality DVDs, GREAT price...

  • I would also like to see strike force get

    released out on DVD

  • This show was freakin Awesome! My cousin and I are the only one's in our state and probably half the country that remember this show!

This is a classic that should go on DVD.

I was totally ticked off when this was taken off the air. No one knew why. No excuses, no I'm sorry, no nothing!

I'm getting to freakin old to wait for this stuff to be put on dvd. I'm still waiting for the Six Million Dollar Man in the U.S

What the heck are they waiting on! The remake. GEEEEZ!

  • @travelbully Ha, ha! I know how you feel. But, believe you me, I REMEMBER this show. This and Today's F.B.I.

It's the same thing with older cartoons. Many people in America remember the Japanese G-Force cartoon BUT they DON'T remember it's American counterpart Battle of the Planets!

  • @travelbully I remember that, back in 1981, when STRIKE FORCE premiered, ABC also had another similar show, TODAY'S FBI, starring Mike (Mannix) Connors, with similar casts, premier that same season. Between the 2 shows, STRIKE FORCE was, BY FAR, the better of the two shows. But ABC did everything they could to save TODAY'S FBI , moving it to different days and time slots, while keeping STRIKE FORCE BURIED in that Friday night , 10:00 slot , and just LET IT DIE, just like NBC did STAR TREK.

  • Dear Vkoo, that is a very difficult choice. I was a huge Meg Foster fan since the 1970's. She had guest starred in many TV dramas. I love her blue eyes ! I first noticed Trisha Noble in 1980, playing a very sexy prison inmate in an unsold prison TV series pilot. Randi Oakes is beautiful. Strike Force was my favorite TV series !

  • Strike Force was a great show and is worthy of being released in DVD format. Does anyone know if there is a request list to have this show released on DVD?

  • @Robert8109 The website is called TVShowson DVD.com.

  • Comment removed

  • Who were your favorite hot female cops on television in 1981-82 ? Randi Oakes in Chips, Meg Foster in Cagney and Lacy, or Trish Noble in Strike Force.

  • Please, somebody post some "Strike Force" episodes on You/Tube ! Although I have the pilot TV-movie, I have not seen any episodes since the 1982 summer re-runs.

  • Yep, another great show. Romanus did alot of voice work in Ralph Bakshi animated adult movies. Great actor.

  • One of the best Tv-shows ever!!

  • This was a super show which deserves to

    be released out on dvd

  • Trisha Noble was HOT, although I wouldn't put it so crudely as someone else did on this board!

  • ah, so 80s!

  • I remember this show was one of the first to be really raked over the coals for violence (it was pretty tough at times - the team was usually shoot first, questions later). At one point it was ranked as the most violent TV show of all time! Hard to believe. I wish they'd put this out on DVD sometime.

  • I'm another person who would like to see

strike force come out on DVD also

  • Wow what great shows. Just found a copy of strike force. What a fluke...

  • I used to pull off to Trisha Noble all the time. Whenever this show came on, there I was with my pants down on top of a pillow wating for Trisha.

  • Shows from the 60's thru 80's had the best theme songs.

  • wow i love this show it was great

  • Dear ItsmegaryG, yes! This was the show! The lick off stickers were called "Kiddie Bait". They were sold by a drug dealer using an ice cream truck to get access to the local schools. Strike Force became involved when a junior high school boy jumped off an expressway overpass to his death. The Ice Cream Man used the students to traffic his lick off stickers. You have a great memory! "STRIKE FORCE" was my favorite TV program at that time.

  • QUESTION :

Was it this show where one episode was about kids licking LSD off frog stickers? I remember a scene where some kid was tripping and contemplating jumping off a building (thinking he could fly), was it this show?

If not this show, does anyone know what show I am talking about?

  • Actually that was an episode of "Wlking Tall" from 1981 on NBC. It starred Bo Svenson, reprising his role of Buford Pusser from the "Walking Tall" movies of the 1970's.

  • sorry, the below message was in reply to the guy's LSD question below...

  • I have not seen this in 26yrs. It was aired on Friday nights

on ABC. A great post. Thanks for the memories!

  • Please post the end credits to this show, OK? Thank you.

  • WOW! I remembered bits and pieces from when I 10/11 years old, but yeah when I was kid I remember watching Strike Force. LOL Nice yo see you guys are posting some good old memories up here.

  • This was my favorite television program of the 1981-82 fall/spring season. But the ABC-TV network did very little to advertise or promote this show. Plus I'm sure the Television Writers Strike delayed it's fall season start. I loved Trisha Noble, and Dominic Frontiere (The Outer Limits, Branded, The Invaders) and Mark Snow(The Next Step Beyond) did great music.

  • ahhhhh trish noble. yummy yummy yummy. little does anyone know she was either the last star wars or the one before that.

  • OMG! Thought I was the only one who LOVED, let alone remembered, Strike Force!!! I even had a Strike Force target gun set - Stack's character, Frank Murphy, had a cool lookin' .357 magnum and some company made a suction cup target game with one. I remember the critics talking about the show being the most violent on TV too. Like someone else said, probably tame by today's standards, but I do remember the pilot featured a decapitating serial killer.

  • I did not know she was Australian....she could do a sexy Southern accent...I saw her do that in a movie once. Her and Angie Dickinson were two of the finest women on TV without a doubt.

  • Padme Amidala's mom - a police officer?

  • I just thought of this show today, and I find the opening here! This is great stuff!

  • It's hard to believe Trisha Noble used to be the teenybopper pop star Patsy Ann Noble in the 1960s. I remember watching this and I thought it was quite good (and even though it used to be considered the most violent TV show ever, it's quite tame compared to today).

  • dorian harewood did the voice for modo in biker mice from mars you know

  • I use to this show every Friday night when it aired in the 80's. Loved it. I remembered the theme music all these years. I hope that it makes it to DVD!!!

  • I used to look forward to this show every Friday night when I was in the 5th grade. I remember some TV critics complaining that it was "the most violent show ever to air on television," but it's probably mild by today's standards. I'd love to see all twentysomething episodes again on DVD.

  • Good grief!!!! I used to watch this w/my grandfather. Love this show!

  • I haven't seen this since the network run! Many thanks to the poster. I watched this show a kid and never forgot the theme. I hope it comes out on DVD someday.

  • i remember this show, how long was it on the air.and dam Trisha Noble had a wonderful pair.

  • That's where Law And Order got the end-title walk from! LOL

  • A thousand blessings upon thy house! I LOVED this cop show and haven't had the chance to see it in over 20-some years.

  • THANK YOU! This was a show that never got its just due and it had one of the best themes I have ever heard. It was done by Dominic Frontiere who did, among others, Vegas, Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea and The Rat Patrol. Definitely in my top 10 of theme songs!!

  • You have to remember it was going up against the CBS Friday night juggernaut (Dukes of Hazzard, Dallas and Falcon Crest) which is why the show never got decent ratings.

  • Dominic Frontiere didn't do "Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea" (or any Irwin Allen show), but otherwise right on target!
