Listened to this band ever since 'Look what the cat dragged in", and of course, i was also wondering which of them were girls. Poison challenged themselves to get some musical integrity on the "Flesh and Blood" album. They shot, they scored. "Something To Believe In" and this track ("Life Goes On") did just that for them. They found a respected place on the musical map just before the glam metal movement died. Luckily for us, we can enjoy it over and over again until the tastes of the masses come back to us, and you know they will. Life goes on.

I grew up a metal fan in the 80's. A teen by the time Poison came out, I HATED them. I felt they were ruining metal. I ignored them as much as I could. Then I got married, had a child, and joined the US Army. One night, sitting in my dorm room, alone, sad, and missing my wife and child, this song came on MTV. When I heard the first lines, I just cried, openly. It was the EXACT way I felt. "Miles away" This song, and Poison, are AMAZING, and I understand the pain felt when writing these songs.
