well hasyierf, debate being a subjective matter will always be like that.

i reserve my judgment on the judging quality at PPM. to me it's a reflection of our society.

anyway, we can only do what we think is best; whether or not the other people agree with us is a different matter.

Now that you put it that way, I cannot agree more. That has always been my feeling.

That's why I said it's a bad reflection of our society - as these are teachers who are supposed to teach the students to think. The questionable quality of judging at PPM; which has always cropped up; as if suggests that they struggle to evaluate arguments in debates, so they fall back to language and strict marking scheme, as if they are marking examination papers :-)
