I also agree with fit31235's comments too. Arctic 49519 DOSEN'T realized that this was a great animated series,(even though the 1980's Giligan's Planet wasn't up to par with The New Adventures of Gilligan). My 3 favorite episodes from T.N,A,O,G. were...
(3) The Howells open up a exclusive "beach resort" & exclude the rest of the Castaways.
(2) Gilligan accidently fed the castaways a type of nutmeat that turns them into little children.
Not exactly. Most of Filmation's library is owned by Entertainment Rights which is based in the UK. Shows such as The New Adventures Of Giligan are actually owned by AOL Time Warner since it is a licensed property of that company.
Actually, it was in 1969 when they used the rotating co-producer credits and they used that until 1982 when Norm Prescott (1927-2005)retired from Filmation.
All the cast members with the exception of Tina Louise reprise thier roles on The New Adventures Of Gillian, & Ginger (now voice by Dawn "Mary Ann" Wells) has a new look & a new hair color(in the oringinal "live action" T.V. version Ginger was a Redhead, in the animated version Ginger's a Platinum Blonde & sounds almost like Marilyn Monroe.
That's right. In The New Adventures Of Gilligan, both Ginger and MAry Ann were voice by Jane Webb, who previously wokred on ther Filmation produced shows such as The Archie Show, The Hardy Boys, Sabrina The Teenage Witch, Groovie Goolies and Waldo Kitty, to name a few.
OK then Cathy if that's really the case then if you can pull strings please have that online info fixed which on the cast grid beside both Ginger and Mary Ann it says Jane Webb Along with the Follow up of which Says Tina Louise & Dawn Wells didn't lend their voices and it was before this that I read in The Great TV Sitcom Book @ Christmastime,1987 under Gilligan's Island in the follow-up that there was even a cartoon in 1974 with most of the original cast intact,Do you have the cartoon intro?
Sure, I was doing secretary work for Lou Scheimer back then, he was also doing the Animated Star Trek at the same time, I was just 18 in 1974 when he hired me, my big break just getting into any productions before I got my big break in the 80's on the Tony Randell Show.
I will post some animation from both series from my filmation days at my youtube site.
Yes like the beginning with its intro it has nice catchy music. However the begining has most of the original cast narrating the intro.Though in the boat steering wheels saying Starring the voices of they had included Dawn Wells and Tina Louise even though they didn't really lend their voices and it was really Jane Webb as I found out online who really filled in for them. But if anyone out there has the intro to The New adventures of Gilligan and can submit it then please do so?it'll be great.
That was pretty much standard for Filmation show. Lou and Norm were executive producers and founders of company therefor their names will get more screen time. I always thought it was cool the way they had their names circling like that.
I heard that the producers had their names circle each other so that no one name would be above or in front of another & they would have equal billing.
This is awesome I was a baby when The New Adventures of Gilligan was on first run and I remember it very well at the end of the opening theme the song went...Gilligan,Gilligan ,Gilligan....
and I was 10 years old when Gilligan's Planet came on CBS and the 1st one was on ABC
I liked this better than the real Gilligan's Island! All 7 original cast members did their characters' voices. In the 1980s they returned for GILLIGAN'S PLANET with all of them except Tina Louise, so Dawn Wells did double duty voicing both Mary Ann and Ginger.
I remember the closing credits of The New Adventures of Gilligan because this show was tape off of The Groovie Goolies and Friends that has all the commercial bumpers and ending mortals of the New Adventures of Gilligan Characters!
damn nobody can put up an episode? yell

Your words touched me in a very ridiculous way....
.
I am a Generation Xer and I grew up on Gilligan's Island, Brady Bunch, the Monkeys, TV Shows, etc etc.
.
Life was SO much more simpler back then I think....
.
My sister and friends and I would swim all day until 2:30 pm when all the60s reruns would come on....we had not a care in the world...
.
Now it takes a half a bottle of Bourbon to unwind from a typical day at 41 when an afternoon swim and some reruns did the same at 10...

Warner Bros. should release the New Adventures of Gilligan cartoon series on DVD! Same for Gilligan's Planet!
heine71 3 years ago 5
I agree with you on that point! I haven't seen either series since they were canceled!
Scarletspeedster68 3 years ago
Warner Bros. would have to get a clearance from D.I.C. Enterprises to release them, since they own Filmation.

OOPS, I meant to say GILLIGAN not Gillian. my bad.

I think your thinking of 1982's Gilligan's Planet. Neither Wells or Louise returned for New Adventures.

No problem, bigg! And hopefully, this series as well as Gilligan's Planet will be released on DVD someday.

P.S. It was Jane Webb who did the voice of Ginger & Jane Edwards as MaryAnn.

You're correct as I found a clip of the opening and closing credits from another You Tube member. Thanks for correcting my error!

wrong it was Dawn Wells doing her own voice., I know as I worked for Filmation in the early 70's when this aired.

The opening theme was sung by the characters, and the lyrics were:
Skipper-Now listen to this story, that we will tell to you
Ginger-The story of the Minnow, 5 passengers & crew
Professor-With Gilligan aboard the ship, the Skipper by his side
Mrs Howell-An unexpected storm came up, and tossed us with the tide
Mr Howell-We found ourselves a shipwrecked cast. Lost on Gilligan's Isle
towringer 3 years ago 2
Skipper-Gilligan and Skipper. The millionaire. His wife
Ginger-The movie star, Professor & Mary Ann, began a brand new life
Professor-What creatures they encountered? What riddles did they face?
Mrs Howell-What mysteries did haunt them, in the strange but happy place
Mr Howell-On the New Adventures of Gilligan, Gilligan...
All-All on Gilligan's Island.

Not quite all. Filmation's voice artist Jane Webb voiced both Mary Ann and Ginger in this series.
