Thanks, we're based out of Mackay, Queensland, Australia, in the middle of the Great Barrier Reef, Blessed with great boating and fishing, Can't complain,
I like to run a big on stringle strand wire, even a short 15cm trace will give some protection against Mackerel's sharp teeth. Would use approx 100lb mono leader, but be prepared to lose some lures. Although mono may result in more strikes if Mackerel are being fussy,
Nice vid Greg good to see ya back in the action. I have unfortunately just put my boat "1st Born" up for sale. It is a 650 outsider with a 150 Yammy. If anyone is interested email me at digzi@live.co.uk We just picked up 4 spanish on the weekend out from Cairns. Weather was crap as usual however the fishing was awesome.
Looks like a good season for Spanish Mackerel, quite alot being caught off Mackay, Just slipped my boat and going back in the water today. The Outsider would be a good boat, and good motor combo, good luck, although a bit quiet for boat sales, but a good package for sure. Weather's been bit hit and miss, another lousy weekend coming up,
I like to troll lures between 4 to 6 knots, and the Gain varies per depth, woudn't need much in the shallow water, especially as Jason in also running a 1kw transducer on his Furuno. Top lure the Xrap Magnum 20 and 30 one of my favourite lures at the moment,
nice video and some great action with the lures. I enjoy your videos. Where do you guys fish out of?
