So true socaltrumpet83. This is what the contemporaries described. Steibelt also said he would never return to Vienna as long as Beethoven lived there.
Does anyone know where to get the sheet music for the improvisation Beethoven did against D, Steibelt?? I understand that it is an improvisation but there must be music somewhere otherwise how would the 'Beethoven' of played it?
While this scene is awesome, it's not entirely accurate. Beethoven actually took the cello part of a piano trio by Steibelt, turned it upside down, banged out a few notes of a new "theme" and then improvised on it for over an hour. Steibelt did storm out seeing that Beethoven had completely made him look like a chump.
@slashdemigod i believe its an improvisation on a melody from mozarts opera the magic flute :) its called the birdsong i think, beethoven goes a bit mad with it though lol.
someone should make Beethoven pwning the French dude a separate clip, it's hilarious.

@SoundwaveSuperior373 I'm one of many who believe that Beethoven was the best composer in history. His work endures such passion whilst such fluency.
