I can`t believe that people seek a "scientific explanation" for this phenomenon in the 21st century, PLUS in Malaysia which lies in the tropics.

This is a typical situation that preferably occurs in the late mid day called updraft & the formation of cumolonimbus. On the top of the anvil you can see a thin layer of cirrus made out of ice crystals. Not more not less.

The top of that cloud is very thin, up there the water molecules are spread out into that thin mist you see. When that happens (just like the mist in the air after a rain) a rainbow forms due to the way the sunlight reflects through the prism like water molecules.

The cloud looked like a mushroom. It must have developed into a super cell because later we had a thunderstorm with strong winds and hail.

It's easily explained, it was a random formation of clouds, as is every formation of clouds. It happens to be that sometimes they come out wonderful looking. The other reason the is so beautiful is because the suns rays are sliding through the thinner areas in that cloud causing it to get that effect

The phantom-like feather-structures above it are ice crystals formed by the ascended water vapor (clouds like these form when hot, humid air rises), turning into cirrus clouds. Those are also lit up by the sun.

Nothing strange about it - just a matter of the angle.

That's actually an anvil cloud forming. A local storm cloud. Nice colors on the top though... Since the top layers of a storm cloud consist mainly of ice particles, it may explain the colors. Some cirrus clouds on very high altitudes used to behave like this.
