not to naysay, I'd say it goes beyond being a sample, he takes the vocal melody and replaces them with his own lyrics, the main rhythm of the song, and that little wicked percussion effect (it's called a flexitone)- you can hear it if you listen close enough (1:25-1:26) if you're interested.

Anyway, not to be a dick, I still love Kanye, I just wish there was a little bit more offered up to Can, and I think he relied on most fans not knowing them to get away with more 'borrowing'.
