@giraffesdontgomoo If I'm there, I'll definitely shoot video. Whether I capture something worth posting is another matter. This one was a very lucky happenstance.
That's an amazing video. It really captures how people can (and will) come together in "times of difficulty." To me it feels like an homage to teamwork and friendship. This video made me very happy, thank you Mickeleh.
Alright, Mickeleh, I've gotta know how this YT gathering thing works, I've heard about them for months and I'm dying to go to one! I'd throw one myself, but as I don't have a very large subscriber base I'm afraid no one will come. Any thoughts on what I could do?
The gathering thing seems to be much more firmly established in UK than US. So they happen more frequently. And you're more likely to find one happening in your town or a tolerable train ride away.
If you're looking for U.S. gatherings, Google and YouTube search are your friends.
If you want to start a gathering, reach out to YouTubers in your area--work together. Get in touch with folks who have sponsored gatherings. Ask them for ideas.
The camera wasn't completely dry. It's not a fancy waterproof dealie. But it survived. (Besides, I waited until the shower was almost over before venturing out.)
Honestly one of my favourite SitC videos so far. It just encompasses the community in the strangest of ways; in the sense that even in godawful rain, we can all see a bright side. Thanks Michael! :)
You are bold sticking your camera in the face of so many strangers, assuming they are all strangers to you, unless of course you have many many young British friends. Either way, I like this video!
There was a scary number of familiar faces in this video... I still kinda wish I could have gone to SitC: had I known about it earlier I would have tried to make arrangements. Oh well - maybe next year =)
I'm just going to hope you make another Summer in the City video this year

I live in Seattle. We have an average of 158 days of measurable rain a year. London has 153.

At this point I was hiding in a phone box intimately close with Alex and Tom Milsom.
And by that I don't mean that they're brothers or married or anything. Although...
