  • Good . But I lost over 30 lb in one month using weight loss plan from LSWEIGHT(.)INFO

    lol ur dudeneedaeaseonup!!!

  • Ashley & Jonh, continued from below..I have a question. My problem is this, I can't eat very much during the day, I do ok at dinner, sometimes I throw, depending on what we have, but then later in the night I can EAT...YUK. Do you find this true for you. Back on that dating thing. My girlfriend knows the "look" when I am at the unconfortable spot or fixing to lose it. Great date when that happens...LOL Keep up the great vidoes, can't wait for the next one. Have a great weekend, Tony

  • Hey Ashley & John, love the videos, I just found them and I am trying to get caught up. I had my LapBand done on Aug 17th, 2007. I did so great for awhile, but then I went to long without my first fill. The good news is, I did go get my fill on March 6th, 2008 and I am fixing to schedule my 2nd one. I have lost a total of 51lbs. Would have been more if I had gotten my fill sooner. It is great to listen to you guys talk about dating. I have been dating since just after my surgery, Tony

  • You are an inspiration and a source of hope for me with my WLS. I showed this video to my partner last night and I am sure that it will help him seeing how things are from a guys perspective. I'm pencilled in for my lapband on July1st which I am scared about. How did you cope with the change the few days after you had your op? Were the feelings what you had anticipated? I wish I could fast forward through that difficult stage and be as successful as you are nowGrats on your continued weight loss

  • oh man that's so awesome that this can be used as a visual tool to help other people better understand lap band. showing this to your bf is a great idea i hadn't thought of. i know that when i was pre-op i would have loved something like this to show my then bf, for sure!

  • Would it be possible at all for you to show where your port is in your next video? One of the questions I asked the nurse at my last appointment was if the port is visable on your stomach after losing weight, she said that it can show up with some patients, I have a similar body shape to you so it would really put my mind at ease. Have you put any more thought into publishing a book on lapbanding? I found a really good book - "the Lap band Solution" by Paul O'Brien which I have been reading....

  • The book has good down to earth advice for preop and post op patients. Anyway, thanks for reading all of this. I really do appreciate the videos that you are making, you are truly making a positive contribution to many peoples lives worldwide (I'm from Australia), and saving peoples lives from an early death, I really have the upmost respect for you Ashley. I'm looking forward to your next video post. Cass

  • I'm trying to get the book thing together but it is hard while I'm in school, working and in a relationship. Seems like these three things already have dibs on all my time. But I will try and make it happen when I can! Thanks for asking! :) Good luck to you!

  • I show it in this video. It's right under y port scar. That's the biggest scar when I lift up my shirt! I don't see mine sticking out but I can feel it. It's just a tiny bump on my torso.

  • The change right after you have your op is just healing from your wounds basically. i didn't feel much different at all because they insert the band with minimal to no fill in it so you don't feel restriction, or you barely feel a difference. you'll, however, be swollen so you won't be very hungry and that is a great feeling cause you're like FINALLY! and you think THE BAND IS A MIRACLE! but it's just the swelling, you won't get the advantage of your band until you reach a proper fill :)

  • I'm sure you'll do great! People build it up in their head to be something way scarier and more extreme than it is. The band works for you! You get to control how tight or loose it is, so it should never be an overwhelming/too fast or too slow experience. That's what's so great. It eases into your life and you loose your weight slowly and steadily!

  • Thank you for your advice, It is comforting to know that it isn't the end of the world when I get it done, I almost laughed when you said in the video that you only have x days to eat until the surgery, I am saying the exact same thing here. :) The band is a miracle! I can't believe that I will have control over my appetite, I'm really looking forward to getting the surgery done. I had one other question, I'll post it in another comment since I'm running out of space here. Cheers, Cass

  • Hi Ashley, I have just sat here and watched all of your videos from start to finish, and it's been wonderful to hear about your experience first hand. I got banded 1 week ago today, so am still on the liquid phase. I'm looking forward to the WLS journey. Unfortunately for me, I don't have the fantastic support you have had with your fabulous BF John. My family is in a different country, and I don't want to tell too many ppl, so am looking forward to keeping up to date with your blogs, thanx!

  • thanks so much for putting this out there. My surgery is tomorrow... and I am more confident and calm than i was this morning (i threw up because i was so nervous). I now know what to expect a little more. Doctors dont tell you the experience.

  • hey there, if you could turn back time, would you still do the lapband thing all over again? do you feel that the pro's outweigh the con's? is it worth all the pain/vomiting that you talk about? do you feel hungry? do you still crave food? im getting a lapband in august, and need all the info i can get! thanks. jess.

  • I still crave the things I can't eat but I feel like the pros do outweigh the cons. Any option you choose to lose weight is going to include sacrifice and compromise. Nothing is an effortless fix, and that's how I look at my band. It is a tool that allows me amazing control which I could have never had before, and for that I am very grateful. The vomiting and pain is very hard sometimes but it's not all the time and it's different for everyone. Good luck to you on your journey! xo -Ash

  • Your BF is so sweet. You can so tell how much he loves you. Your so sweet and funny together. Oh oh and I loveeeeee your kitty.

  • JOhn, as much as I adore you in these videos...I'm very anti men wearing sleeveless stuff. Ash, don't let him do it! lol

  • he reminds me of the guy on jerry mguire that baby sits the kid lol he rocks lmao

  • Man getting stuff stuck when you are out sucks the MOST! Especially since I am super paranoid about anyone hearing me throw up. I find that I get stuck episodes more often if I am not relaxed enough when I am trying to eat. Just goes to show you how important it is to slow down when you eat.

I am down 76 pounds now.

    Great work sister!

  • Me too! I'm so paranoid about throwing up in public bathrooms. I used to have to wait til everyone left, but most of the time I can throw up pretty silently now. I'm so well-practiced! Good luck to you! <3

  • These are great videos :) Yall are too cute together. You were Rocking them jeans :)

My question is how before you noticed yourself the weight start to melt off?

    Hugs,

    Melissa

    =)

  • I think the first month it was just like WHOOSH ten pounds and I was like WOW OMG THIS IS WORKING. But I started to look really different, and notice it in the mirror probably about 2-3 months in. My face and neck were noticeably more defined. It'll happen sooner than you think! :)

  • I am heavily (no pun intended, but it was funny anyway) considering getting the lap-band, but my concern is how I'm going to finance it. Hoe did you pay for yours, if you don't mind me asking? And by the way, you look great. I am sure that you will achieve what you are looking for soon. Thanks for being honest and real too.

  • you are a god send.. thanks for all the info lady... how much fluid have u got in total in ur band..

thanks and the jeans are looking good

  • I think I'm at like 6cc or so. I was always paranoid they wouldn't be able to fit enough fluid in there for me to eat a small amount but man i'm barely over halfway full and i am TIGHT TIGHT TIGHT. It is an effective band! Good luck <3 <3 <3! and thank you! :)

  • I am SO food's bitch. Seriously. Also, y'all are such a great couple! (Sorry for the "y'all". I'm a Texan and I can't help it. hehe)

  • John is from Texas! (well Oklahoma but he was born in Texas) Thanks :)!!!!!

  • Hey girl! you have no idea how much this actually helped me! The way your boyfriend is feeling is exactly how my husband feels. An di feel the same way as you.. about getting stuck and being embaressed. thanks for the heads up on the water though.. i go for my 2nd fill on Wed. and I am nervous!

  • Yeah be careful of the water, if food is stuck chances are the water won't get through and it'll just have to come back up! I'm so glad it helps! Thank you for your nice comments! <3

  • Hey where is part B??? =)

  • Sorry looks like it didn't make it and then I left the house! But it is uploading now! Sorrysorrysorry!
