The role of them bass is Keeping rhytm, so u could call it drums in the form of a guitar.

But alot of peoples think that bass is just a enlarged guitar, so they call it easy.

The easynes (?) of a bass depends alot on what music ur playing. Modern punk and modern rock, is usually pretty easy beacuse the bass is only used for rhytm. but if u take a still like Jazz or Blues, the bass is more a lead instrument

im bereich von 4 bundstäbchen also z.B. 1-4 empfehl ich dir bei der linken hand alle finger zu benutzen (bis natürlich auf den daumen)... wenn du mit plektrum spielst solltest du auf jedenfall mit der linken die saiten dämpfen. falls du fingerstyle (plucken/slap) spielst, solltest du dir den palm mute aneignen
