you're picking up where Terrence McKenna left off...and doing it better imo. A true creative personable trickster opening us up to reality. Thank you!
I'm so glad you said you were surprised that that video was about Kabbalah. It sounds very much like a cult and I must say I was very disturbed when I saw that. It promises a hell of a lot on very wishy-washy evidence. Although there is a lot of strangeness in the universe and it's very exciting to earn about it, I think there is a danger that predators in this area take advantage of people looking into this stuff for the first time, for example, the whole 2012 movement. It scares me.
Wait... arnt the lyrics for that beatles quote "I am you as you are me as you are he and we are all together"? not "I know you, you know me. you are me, and we are all together."?
@SketchyPeenut I'm naming two different blog entries there. One is called "I Know You, You Know Me" (a lyric from Come Together), and the other entry is called "You Are Me and We are All Together" (a lyric from I am the Walrus). Here's the videos for those two blog entries:
@10thdim Got yea. thanks for clearing up the confusion. In my English class we watched your "Imagining the 10th dimension" video it was really cool. i understood it up to the 6th. anyway i found it really interesting.
I've been watching your videos for the past couple of months, (thanks) and then I came across this one.... All i can say is you put a smyle on my face, I didn't expect the song and dance. High Five!
I saw you name on the Corner Gas credits the other day, and it made me wonder if it was you. Very funny show, you must be proud to have been part of it. Speaking of "wonder" I have been thinking about the complex helix's that we all make as we travel though space. To me it all seems intertwined somehow, especially with regard to the music and favored harmonic frequencies. Keep up the great work, love it all!
But it is the self that matters remember we are social animals, Smart social animals that realize it we are more powerful if we act as a unit instead of an individual we have to make rules and laws to keep the progress that we have made to prevent it from being unmade by the individuals who would like it to no be that way. So solipsism and a little egotism are needed in the discussion of I if it wasnt there we wont have lasted as long.
haha I doubt Einstein ever smoked DMT but can you imagine the insight he could have provided if he had? The few experiences i have had with DMT seem to me as a physical manifestation of what happens in my head during heavy meditation and trance state. I know this wont really make sense to anyone but myself but it is more than enough to lead me to believe that psychedelics indeed open up new paths of unseen reality. Great video!
Haha well believe it or not you can buy the ingredients for Ayahuasca, a DMT containing drink used by shamans for thousands of years, on ebay or just extract the DMT yourself from the leaves that are also on ebay. Just remember that DMT by itself is the most illegal substance in the world. The irony of it all eh? Haha hope this helped. Stay safe my friend.
I just started watching your videos. Very interesting. I was curious how your "project" would explain why time slows down in the 5th dimension as speed increases?
Yes, the only person that matters in my universe is me just like the only person that matters in your universe is you. We find our selves being born in on earth; 3rd rock from the sun. What do we, as humans, know other then has been told to us and self experienced.
@seigneurvoland666 Definition of SOLIPSISM: a theory holding that the self can know nothing but its own modifications and that the self is the only existent thing.
I know that I am not the only being in exists. All of life exists. We as human’s co-habitat on this planet each human having his or her own perception of reality that intern delineates to their own universe making their rules of reality perceptually different from other’s.
I'm a psychology student,i'm 20...i have allways thought about our reality and i know there is much more than we can perceive.
i've never seen any supernatural thing, but i've allways been able to feel other people emotion, some sort of extrasensorial empathy...
anyway, i'm writing this 'cus i really would like to discuss with you about a theory that i have, that i've seen that conects with your theory in a lot of ideas and conclusions...
Please, send me a message, i feel this could intrest you
I'm glad things like this are being seen in a scientific, and not a religious way. Maybe our brain can pick up the information outside of our local region (or value) in time. Maybe information from the future and past is stretched or scattered around time, or resides outside all values of time. I haven't thought about that until now so what I just said is probably absolute rubbish.
We are all waiting for the moment religion and science merge together, you know some religions have extremely accurate in astronomy and some texts even describes black holes in the sky. Can't wait for all humans to stop fighting over religion and theory's. Lets all come to peace in truth.
Hmm, I've never heard of black holes in religious books. Interesting, could you give me more information please.
People fight between religion and science because they completely oppose eachother in ever field apart from ones we don't know much about at the moment, and seem mystical. Such as quantum mechanics.
You know, you said that you've never been under the influence of psychedelics, but you have! DMT is stored on the pineal gland, and is the most "hallucinogenic" substance known to mankind. And we all receive a large dose when we sleep at night. I suggest you search for the pineal gland and DMT if you haven't done it already :)
Yes, you're absolutely right about DMT, and apparently some small percentage of the population produce larger amounts than others. I've talked a number of times about Graham Hancock's book "Supernatural" which makes the interesting point that religions are founded on ecstatic visions of heavenly hosts, burning bushes, that sort of thing, and that when a religion then develops to the point where the public are told they can't have these direct connections to the spiritual that's a bad thing.
Gee, thanks for the verbal hug! There's a lot of people out there who are working towards a new understanding of reality, and it's always nice to connect with other people who are on the same journey. Your kind words mean a lot to me!
I've had this view for some time now, that other people (and anything else for that matter) are just an extension of myself, ''one''.
First time that I really declared and mentioned it (in other context than Parmenides of Elea's view of reality as unmovable and unchangeable) was on the topic of (the correlation between) egoism and empathy.
I'm just amazed right now by ''knowing'' how natural this thought seems to seek one out, and how important it's realization is.
I mentioned those thoughts of Parmenides, particularly because when I expressed those, someone basically said ''no, no, time is a dimension'' to me and linked to one of your videos. Somewhat ironic.
Now I could go on and on complaining about the narrow view of many people (reflecting our society and culture) but...
Thanks for refreshing my memory and adding to it, my head is seeing things crystal-lovely-clear again (I will reward myself with eating 4 raw onions instead of 1 for lunch). :)
This ties in well with Spiral Dynamics - a quite recent theory about collective intellgences, memes and value memes, and it ties in with developmental psychology. Just search google and wikipedia and youtube for Spiral Dynamics for more interesting connections - there is a directional evolution towards greater and greater cooperation. These levels have ben equated with the chakra system and with kaballah. These levels can be lined up as a helix - individuality and collectivity.
Search Spiral Dynamics - from youtube, google, and wikipedia. This teis in with chakras, and dimensions. Such developmentall psychology has found 7 or 8 or 9 levels of being - survival, magic, heroic/power/independence, authoritarian/religious, rational/modern/individualistic, postmodern/pluralistic/relative, and integral, and holistic. These are value memes.
Love these connections, Rob. Just last night I was thinking about how certain mental states necessarily resonate physically, not just through space, but also through various time dimensions. And there are many techniques of entering these more archetypal states.
Notice, how in spiral Dynamics the levels correspond somewhat. The first level is about survival, and little sense of self as as a separate entity, and the first level corresponds to singularity, because concepts of space and time are not necessary for survival, however, instincts about space and time are already available... like a singularity, and also like the first chakra.... and there are such connections between kabalah levels and also other chakras and all other Spiral Dynamics levels.
The colors have no meaning, besides a distinction between warmer and cooler colors, to distinguish between individually and collectively orineted levels. I think it would be cool if the colors of SD were the same as chakra colors, and it would certainly be more convenient. Ken Wilber changed the colors to the lightt spectrum ones, in his versions of SD.
There seems to be a focus on the colors in the "SD crowd". I can definitely see why Ken would change them, yet I'm not sure colors are a good way to even describe these categories. The categories seem a bit contrived to me. Clearly the aspects exist, but the assignment to colors and other hierarchical/value judgments? And what does this have to do with the geometry of a spiral? Just don't get it... :-)
development is never separate from what happened previously, and it spirals outward, as in it is not a ladder, but an increase in complexity. The spiral adds subjective and artistic value to the ideas, and adds depth to it, at least such depth what a ladder cannot give. I agree, I thinking colors serve only to illustrate and distinguish these level to people with differing attention spans and it is psychologically easy to remember the levels because of that.
The SD model was first targeted to a business management audience, and the colors' first and foremost purpose was to aid in remembering and talking about the ideas, and in conversations, replacing the name and contents of the level with the color that almost arbitrarily was given to the levels. So, the spiral spirals outward, but there is no way to discard the lower levels, they either come with the spiral, or the spiral itself is... destroyed I guess... The idea was of continuity of evolution.
The way the SD crowd speaks is like a lingo on its own, and they are aware of how confusing it can sound. Then again, there is a risk of over-simplifying this stuff. While the colors themselves are used so as to make it more understandable... I guess the problems and solitions are in the presentation.
There is not simply a tradition within the scientific community of dismissing claims about our consciousness directly effecting reality. Efforts to confirm such phenomena turn up negative results so far. If there is an effect on reality, it is not one we can measure with out current tools or techniques. Furthermore, there will always be serious scientist that keep an open mind and refuse to ridicule anything as "only superstition", Susan Blackmore for example. All ideas have value.
It's not that surprising, you share the same DNA with all those others in the past, and hence the same illusions and pattern seeking, but I like that last Einstein Quote.
