  • Ok, I really wish that the issue about corporations controlling GMO's would addressed. I don't think it's right that farmers can have their crops modified (due to wind cross pollination) and as a result of that they are held culpable for a problem they cannot control. We have set a legal precedent that is unjust.

  • love this guy - says everything im thinking

  • 11:10 - He's right indeed... It's not the about GMO, it's about globalisation...

Using GMO is like beta-testing software... Beta versions may have useful features but also severe bugs... Eventually bugs are fixed and features become even more nice...

We're now in that "beta-testing" period of GMO development... There're some bugs, allergies for example, but scientists do keep working...

Why do we have to ban GMO development on the early stage just because the technology is not ideal yet?..

  • The problem is US and I don't mean the USA, I mean US as in the human species. It's tempting to say that we have perverted Science (capital 'S') but real science is a human invention and is used for human purposes. Some Scientists will tell you that people starving in sub-Saharan Africa is not just a necessity, but that it's the proper state of affairs because it shows that Evolution is working, the weak will fail and the strong prevail. This is the philosophical basis of Capitalism.

  • @colourmegone That's not evolution, it's social darwinism.

  • @playgrrrr Which is one of the philosophical bases of modern capitalism. This debate has been going on since before the 19th century. Of course the "Scientists" (note the use of capitals) who espouse this malarkey have opposition, in fact Darwin despised this interpretation of his theory, but it was out there nonetheless. Much as Nietzsche's thought was co-opted by the Nazis Darwin's has been distorted by certain economic elites to justify their actions.

  • this guy is such a douchebag how can he seriously compare dying in a car crash with dying from pharmaceutical drugs. they are completely different in nature, for the most part ur in control of a car however a drug u have no control over . and "i can afford to eat organic cause im rich, well were all rich its the west"?? seriously? are u in denial jaxkass? check the poverty and homeless rates lately? he eats organic because he knows its better for you not just because it "tastes better" hypocrite

  • @kylekelly123 I hear your point he seems kind of douchie. I just think he is trying to help. He thinks people are not looking to facts, but people are just fearful. We are not like homeless people in other countries. Are poverty rate is not the same as other places like some places in Africa parts of Asia? They dont have a middle class that can get taxed like we do. We have food programs like welfare and unemployment. They do not. Anyway I wasnt slamming you; I am just saying.

  • @kylekelly123 No science shows organic food isn't any better for you. I have looked at the studies and it all shows the same thing. This is the problem I have with people like you and the rest of the science haters. You are no different then global warming deniers and creationist, you disagree with the science that disproves your ideologies.
