  • Thank YOu so much for posting this "refresher" & ALL WITHOUT A CALCULATOR! I'm going into a 116 question entrance test that is going to test on 26 subjects & i've not been in school since '75! so I'm a little freaked out! that's about 4 questions per subject! I was told to sudy the TEASE test pre questions!YEIKES!I'm so scared! Friday 9 am! & I'm a night person!!! holy moly! 2 strickes already walkin into the joint!   • wait, i thought when you look for a LCD you multyply that to the top, so it would be 5x12 and 9x12 ....?

  • 01boberto, if the LCD is 12, then for 5/3 you sould multiply both the top and bottom by 4. For the 9/4, you should multiply both the top and bottom by 3. This will make both denominators equal to 12. 5/3 becomes 20/12. 9/4 becomes 27/12. I was using a Kung Fu fraction technique in this video.
