@volkl3volkl Yeah, funny when Bob Costas kept teasing the TV commentary with the "dinner roll." Next a skier named Morton will unveil the jelly roll? Very jazzy move, the Jelly Roll Morton.
this was more cork. the original dinner roll was more flat spin or rodeo. see 99 x games big air silver medal. In the end when I performed it on big jumps it had a lot of torque which i could never handle in the bumps. i would and get worked. you need to to being able to carve and drift left or right to really do the dinner roll correctly. for me I carve a right footer (left turn) while throwing my right shoulder off the end of the jump to the right. thx for the comments
@jonnymo415 So ive recently ditched snowboarding after ten years and have become addicted to skiing. I go up to bear as much as I can. I was just wondering what it was like freeskiing on thin alpine type skiis like you guys rode in the 90's. Ive only ridden modern skis and always wonder how hard it must have been to ride thin more alpine oriented skiis like in this video.
i just learned this trick. loved it when it went down back in the olympics! it seems like a different trick than the dinner roll you threw in the x-games. is it?
Jonny Mo's a two time gold medalist in any reasonable person's book. The stodgy judges should be subjected to moguls purgatory, where they will be forced to watch upright 360s and double twisters until they repent.
He mixes the water with a little flour, adds the yeast, preheats the oven, bakes it, the dough rises, and he delivers: a fresh dinner roll - Hahahaha! The announcer is hilarious! The best sportscasting I've ever heard in my life!
this is jonny mosely in an olympic mogul run, and the first time EVER a cork 7 was performed in olympic competition. at the time, inverted spins weren't even scored properly. a year later jf cusson won x-games with an ungrabbed switch 7 (jonny came 2nd i think with a rodeo 7) - this is all old school stuff and you obviously don't know your history or respect the originators (this is jonny's personal youtube account, dumbass) hahaha
Mate you got this nicely wrong. My 2nd comment was cause "kook" is a term for surfers so it doesnt fit. Maybe I was a bit harsh sayin it counts for fuck all but there is a serious lack of steeze right there. And as it goes im a fuckin freestyle coach and know a fair shit load about freeskiings history. His own personal account?! No shit sherlock! The name gives it away a little.
Sorry to nitpick, I don't see this as being oldschool, more like key moment in the transition from the old school "helicopters, daffies and twisters" to the sick tricks we see today.
called cork
