If this comes out on DVD I'll buy it !!

I knew that with Eddie Izzard in it, it would be good. He always picks intelligent things to do and this one is a classic, which I hope will be aired every Christmas.

  • This was amazing, so emotional and touching, brought tears to my eyes.

Does anybody know the name of the person who covered "Wonderful Christmas Time" towards the end? It was a slow song.

  • @WolfgangTheHusky Tom McRae.

  • @MrCiaranMc Thank you very much ^_^

  • @WolfgangTheHusky You mean they didn't just play McCartney's version at half speed?

They actually employed someone to sing it as if those stupid lyrics MEANT something? Bloody hell, he was the best actor in it!

  • @WolfgangTheHusky No i don't, but i've been trying to find it everywhere. If you find out could you let me know too please?

  • @SadieGrimsbug It's by a guy called Tom Mcrae! Merry Christmas!

  • @paddyjone i dont no why but i tho this was a film but it was on the cbbc do day

  • Really good, but who is singing the end credit song 'simply having a wonderful xmas time'?

  • I normally hate dramas.

    best drama ever.

  • Just watched it, was an amazing film. Was very upsetting but happy at the same time!

  • I just watched it. Despite the fact i have a lump in my throat and am feeling very emotional.. WOW! This really was so phenomenal.

If you have a couple of spare hours i would suggest you were to watch it!

  • @Hi675445 He exchanged his coat with the other man who lost his job, resulting in him dying because of the thin material. He came back as a ghost and changed time, causing the boy, who was Richard, to make the right choice.

Millie survived, Goose's parents survived and Mark stayed with his wife. :)

  • what happened in this how did he change time he had no time mesean or nething dont get it

  • @Hi675445 Spoler alert

Goose loses his parents. Grows up and gets into trouble alot. eventually it shows u him becoming homeless and he meets a new guy called anthony. Goose trades his jacket with the new guy but then dies of hypothermia. Because of his act of kindness he was given a second chance to come back and try and change the events which are all interlinked. You dont find out about gooses real identity until the end (old goose who lost his memories)

  • @danielaung691 thanks

  • its on now!

  • Can't wait to see this! but i'm dying to know what the song is at the end ... does anyone know? :)

  • This is really funny. Fables of Forgotten Things renamed with a few tweeks. I wish Lost Christmas every success and will enjoy watching it, but a real shame that the BBC gave Fables air time and accolades, then optioned an extremely similar idea from a different writer and production company. Guess that's show biz.

  • This looks really similar to a pilot made in 2006 with Paul McGann whose character wakes up in strange places to return forgotten things to people. And his sidekick was a little boy. See what you think. Go to the BBC Filmnetwork and watch Fables of Forgotten Things.

  • Um couldn't find much similarity. Fables Of Forgotten Things is a short rather than feature but set in a fantasy world. Lost Xmas is much more like Its a Wonderful Life or something gritty and Dickensian not childrens fantasy like The Spiderwick Chronicles or The Last Mimzy. There is the similarity of items but there is a big difference between forgotten things and lost things. Lost things you are searching to find. Forgotten things you don't realise have gone and therefore are none the wiser.

  • @Voodoofrogman I think comparing Lost Christmas to Its a wonderful life is pushing it a bit

  • AWW Larry! i remember when he was 5 like it was yesterday! good old Lazza hasn't changed... so happy he got this part! i know his family are proud :)

  • Can't wait to go see the premiere this Sunday

  • @tangodelta1977 So how was it? :)

  • @spoonlamp it was brilliant cant wait to see it again!!

  • I think all we in the states need to email BBC-tv and ask that it be shown on BBC-America so we can see it too!!! Tell as many people as possible to do this please!!!! lynnnoelle

  • It's a real movie? This wasn't a joke? I'm confused!

  • @tomaseklund Of course it is ! :) I've read the book. I love it!! :D

  • got the book for this :)

    cant wait to start reading.

  • @fanfilmsUK I've read it and i loooove it!!

  • Thumbs up this is you thought this was a high-budget, hilarious "Eddie Izzard trailer" like his others until 3/4th through; then there's this awkward, weird realization...

  • US release PLEASE :)

  • I go to the cinema once a year. This will be the movie for 2011, I think.

  • Wow, where'd be learn to juggle fire like that? I'll be seeing this for sure.

  • @justsusan196 Part of Eddie's roots were in street performing. The documentary Believe: The Eddie Izzard story tells a bit about it. :)

  • @TheUnluckynomad yeah, I saw that a while back. Pretty impressive that he can still do it though!

  • @justsusan196 lol yeah but its Eddie!! He can do anything! :p

  • I just booked my tickets to the premiere! Maybe I'll meet Eddie. Love London.

    SmithInLondon

  • Tell us how to see it in the states! On Netflix?

  • Bangles, books, dogs, the game... I lose shit all the time :l

  • @Ulkreghz DAM YOU!!!!!!!

  • This may actually be enough to get me over my years long hatred of Christmas. Only you Eddie!

  • Eddie Izard is making a non cheesy Christmas movie, this level of awesomeness will surely induce awesome sickness

  • I can't wait!

  • some of this film is filmed in my house :D

  • The rest of the music is written by yet another Audio Network Composer, Debbie Wiseman.
