  • Is that door the only way in?

  • @IchiTrois Bascially yes. There is an emergency exit on the opposite side (above the right side executive table). Some cargo models have been modified to allow the flight crew to enter/exit through the copilot's side window after the cabin has been filled with cargo.

  • Is the flushing potty a standard 'honeypot' style (ala King Airs).

  • @ecktoeman Yes

  • Great vid! If I had the money I'd buy an MU-2. Inexpensive way to get into a turboprop!

Maybe Mitsubishi should consider restarting production, albeit with a few upgrades and modifications.

  • The tail (horizontal stabilizer) of the MU-2 is deiced by the engine exhaust.

  • Beechcraft king air 200 or the MU2?

  • @PlasticC4 kingair for sure proven aircraft used worldwide

  • @poskyflyer Hold your horses! I dont know about that. The MU 2 has had no air worthiness directives issued against it! In fact it is one of the few planes that has that distinction. Where as the King Air series has had few. Besides the MU2 is just cooler looking! Not to mention both faster as well as slower.

  • @youngfart40 compare how many are deployed world wide bud, kingair is also a better airplane

  • @poskyflyer hmmmm....riiiight.." the king air is also a better airplane" I guess I will have to just accept that statement, even though I have flown both and talked to pilots& mechanics about both of them.

  • @poskyflyer By the way, there is video here called " learning the truth about the MU2 SFAR", gives you a good idea about misunderstandings/ greatness of this plane.

  • MU-2 pilot available for hire, mu2captain dot c o m

  • The landing gear arrangement is similar to the F-104.

  • awesome

I love this plane and I know you have a series on it...well done!

Is it true it has the same landing gear set up as an f15? ( thank Flying for that tid bit...lol)

You and Greg Mink are ambassadors to the MU2...keep flying and shooting vids!

    cheers

    T

  • DO NOT get ice on the wings of a MU - EVER! Or so I've heard.

  • @dave0mary Acutally the MU2 is a champ in icing. I was in some day before yesterday as a matter of fact. Keep your speed up (>180) and use your equipment correctly and I don't know of a plane that does better.

Also, any airplane with boots will benefit from applying ICE-X prior to any flight where ice may be encountered.

  • @dave0mary- The MU-2 performs just fine with ice on the wings. Maybe you got the plane confused with the Cessna Caravan or perhaps the ATR-72?

  • @dave0mary You heard wrong!

  • That radar is JUNK!!!!!!!!! It was junk in any embedded weather. RCA50's were way better.

  • I hear round engines in the background!

  • have you tried the x-plane simulator MU-2 by x-scenery? it looks exactly like this!

  • oh this used to be N747SY
