  • everyone who has half a brain knows that Kevin Durant was chosen to go to OKC before the draft. people are so dumb and in denial.

  • @TankMacnamara81 okc was not even a NBA team when Durant was drafted so you should do a little more research then just wiki where people can change stuff.

  • Comment removed

  • @lebron2376 Fuk u

    Y the clippers.?

  • i cant believe that seattle and "soon to be" new jersey are no more in the nba. the nets had heavily underrated players like kerry kittles and jason williams

  • the state of oklahoma sucks they dont deserve an nba team

  • @scienceproject6 Actually OKC do deserve a team they, they sell out there games, bulid a new arena when one is needed and they love their team (The Thunder). And the Thunder don't suck they are the new team on the rise in the western conference.

  • @12Aggiefan BUILT AROUND KEVIN DURANT, DRAFTED BY SEATTLE, BUILT BY PICKS AND PLAYERS THAT WERE AQUIRED BY THE SONICS NOT THUNDER

  • @megamattbd35 I feel your pain its a shame what happen to the Sonics and the city of Seattle. But you cannot blame the people of OKC or Thunder fans. Blame Stern, Clay and Schultz those are the villians not the fans of OKC who support there team. You also need to blame the polticitans like Cantwell and other soccer moms who would rather bulid new stadiums for the Mariners and Seahawks yet leave the Sonics out to dry.

  • @12Aggiefan thanks to the sonics who drafted durant and westbrook. its bullshit that a nba team can be taken away from a city because the owner who bought it is a lying peice of shit who said he was going to keep the team in seattle, and then he goes to court to rob the city of a 2 year lease the sonics still had in seattle. true sonic fans got screwed. but i dont blame okc fans cause its not your fault they left just dont act as though seattle did not deserve to keep them.

  • What is OKC known for besides having a federal building bombed?

  • @Ladiestreat i dont know.. thelma and louise maybe? lol

  • Seattle fucked around and paid the the ultimate price. How can you fuck around the way they did after OKC hosted the Hornets for two years and then came right out and said "we'd love to get a team of our own"????? Seriously, how the fuck can you have such a smug, arrogant attitude and then act shocked when Bennett and Stern bend you over and wax that ass? It just doesn't make any sense. Congrats on the history, but at this point right now....OKC deserves this team way more than Seattle.

  • @ad287 According to those emails which were exposed between Stern and Bennett, I think there is some serious "ass waxing" going on between those two. My favorite email was when Bennett said to Stern "You are my most favorite person in the whole wide world". lol. That's so gay. Is OKC proud to have a brown nose backdoor owner?

  • @ElliotOffenTrachea Don't be like the Cavs owner, don't complain when something dosn't go your way

  • @fun1234982 You mean like how Bennett complained to Stern when Seattle was telling him that he had to honor the lease?

  • @ElliotOffenTrachea Did you really think they had a chance to keep the sonics? He gave them a chance, but with everyone in OKLA they didn't want the team to stay in seattle, that was never the intention

  • @fun1234982 Now you're catching on. That's right. Bennett never wanted to keep the team in Seattle. Aubrey said that himself a couple years back, then Stern fined him for the comments.

  • @ElliotOffenTrachea He didn't want them to but he still gave them a slim chance to stay, but all the intention was to get them to okc

  • Why they moved the Sonics from Seattle ?

  • do u know whos fucking fault the sonics left us? the owner of starbucks tahts who fuck u i will never buy coffee from u again fuck u well at least we still have the seahawks if they leave ima cry

  • The NBA is dead to me.

  • "where destroying loyal fan bases happens" Seattle SuperSoncis fan base in 20087=2nd smallest fan base in the NBA.....

  • @BBright37 haha whatever man

  • If the Sonics had the second smallest fanbase then why does the NBA get higher tv ratings in Seattle than in OKC? Does that mean OKC has the smallest fanbase? Isn't it weird that a team that doesn't exist anymore has a bigger fanbase than the Thunder. Weird to think about.

  • @ElliotOffenTrachea I cannot believe how stupid of a comment that is. That just proves why you didnt deserve the Sonics. Even though they are in your HOMETOWN, you wont get off your lazy ass and go watch the game live. The fanbase is those who truely care about the team and its development. If you don't contribute to the growth of it financialy and by showing REAL support, you dont deserve it.

  • @BBright37 You really should educate yourself man. If you read my post carefully you'll see I'm talking in the present, not past. Seattle has had higher tv NBA ratings than OKC in 2009 and 2010. That's after the team left. What does that say about OKC when they have lower tv ratings with a team than Seattle does without a team? Educate yourself.

  • @ElliotOffenTrachea The tv ratings was up in Seattle because no one wanted to go to the game and watch them

  • @fun1234982 Again, like a said to bright. The tv nba ratings in Seattle were higher than OKC after the team left. Therefore the NBA is getting more support from Seattle without a team than OKC with a team. Okies need to read more carefully now.

  • @ElliotOffenTrachea Isn't it funny how more than half the seats is empty at "0:50" Seattle didn't have true fans, because true fans will fill up a stadium every night like in OKC

  • @fun1234982 lol. Obviously you aren't going to many Okie games yourself. Otherwise you'd see what everyone else has been seeing on television. There was empty seats galore in the lower bowl during regular season games. The Okies blamed it on the fact that they jacked up the prices for those seats.

  • @ElliotOffenTrachea 1st of all I been to many of games, 2nd of all OKC had a average of 98.9 percent attendence all year long, so obviously your not watching the game, and unlike seattle okc is improving their arena during the offseason, and if you watched during the playoffs every in the stadium had the same shirts, They were the loudest in the playoffs, and when they lost in game 6 everyone stood up and cheered, go to okc-la game 6 and watch the very end

  • @fun1234982 That's the average amount of tickets sold, not the amount of people who actually attended the game. I can show you pictures of all the empty seats at the Ford Center if you like? Also, I read that OKC has come up short on funding part of the remodels so Clay is already demanding more money from the people. lol. Also, the crowd wearing the same shirts is nothing new. Almost every crowd does that now. Big deal.

  • @ElliotOffenTrachea first of all we did come up short, but they are still getting everything they talked about , plus they are building a skyscraper down the road

  • @fun1234982 A skyscraper? Wow! Really? Well that changes everything. Everybody must now admit that OKC is a world class city.

Seattle is in the process of building at least 5 skyscrapers at any given moment. Even more so with Bellevue 10 miles east of Seattle. Bellevue has a better skyline than OKC for Christ's sake and nobody outside of the state of Washington has even heard of Bellevue.

  • @ElliotOffenTrachea ever since we had had the thunder they started building new resturaunts, hotels, buildings, they have gotten a minor league hockey team, down the road in Tulsa they got a wnba team, I never hear any thing about seattle anymore

  • @fun1234982 lmao! Restaurants, hotels and buildings? OKC must be like a civilization now or something. lol. You're too much.

  • @ElliotOffenTrachea How come I never here anything about Seattle? I here all the time how Okc is a up and coming City and major league City. Every one that's been to OKC has done nothing but praise it. people like Charles Barkley and everyone on espn, Bill Clinton. And how good the the Thunder has done since they moved to okc,a complete turn around since they where in Seattle. They were horrible in Seattle, and they have improved every year in OKC including a 50 win season.SO QUIT WHINING

  • @fun1234982 The Sonics were horrible? Are you stupid? The Sonics were one of the top franchises in NBA history. The Thunder haven't done anything in OKC. They haven't even won a playoff series. The Sonics had 50+ wins 10 times while in Seattle. They won the conference 3 times, won the title in 1979 and had the 6th highest all-time winning percentage in NBA history. Funny you chose Clinton (a proven liar) as an example of somebody who praised OKC. That means he really thinks OKC is a shithole.

  • @ElliotOffenTrachea ok I will chose Charles Barkley and how much he said he liked okc during the playoffs, listen right there about what you said they won the tittle in 1979, that was over 30 yrs ago, the past is the past, every team has had at least 1 great year. they went from winning the tittle in 1979 to having there face in the dirt in the 2000s

  • @fun1234982 Again you are incorrect son. There are 30 teams in the league & only 13 of the 30 teams have won a title. That means less than half of the teams haven't had "at least one great season." Another fact is only 8 of the 13 teams won a title more recently than 1979. Five other team's last title took place longer ago than 1979. The Sonics just came off a deep playoff run when Bennett bought the team and ran it into the ground. The Thunder haven't even achieved what the Sonics did in 2005.

  • @ElliotOffenTrachea You don't have to win a championship to have a great season, if you would ask any in the nba every single one of them would say okc had a great season, the sonics where bad before bennet bought them, in 2005 seattle only had two more wins than okc did this year. Seattle went down from there, and OKC is going up quickly

  • @ElliotOffenTrachea the sonic "were" great, the sonic won the tittle in "1979" Tha does not hold up when you have a 23 wins in Seattle, and have nothing the last couple of years there and don't say it was because Bennett bought them because they were still bad before that. You have NO excuses. We support our teams here when they lose more then you guys did when they won

  • @fun1234982 According to you, you weren't even alive when the Sonics were winners. So how would you know what Seattle's support for the Sonics was when they were winners? You are contradicting yourself dummy. Secondly, the Sonics had higher attendance than OKC when the Sonics won the championship. So you are wrong there too. You keep failing.

  • @ElliotOffenTrachea Why do you keep going back to when they won the champion it dosent matter now what they did back then only thing that matters is the present and future

  • @fun1234982 lmao! Spoken like a true loser. Since the Thunder have sucked and have a failed history, then history shouldn't matter.

  • @ElliotOffenTrachea 1st of all the thunder has only been year two years so you can't compare all the years in Seattle to the two in OKC, and you are right about one thing they do have a failed history because they were in Seattle

  • @fun1234982 The history in Seattle is among the top 10 franchises in NBA history. In OKC they've done no better than the 8th seed.

  • @ElliotOffenTrachea a couple of years after they won the tittle they only had a 7,399 attendence

  • @fun1234982 Oh really? Where are you getting this information from? You just keep spewing complete bullshit and then I have to give you the actually truth. A couple years after the Sonics won the title they had the NUMBER #1 attendance in the league. Look for yourself on Basketball Reference. They were #1 out of 23 teams and had a season total 675,097 attendance. That's a 16,466 average, not 7,399. The Thunder will never have the #1 attendance like the Sonics.

  • @fun1234982 Yeah. "The Thunder had a great season." Hey dummy. Your Thunder finished with the very last seed and finished 4th in a division of 5 teams. That is not a great season. They didn't even get past the 1st round. You are a delusional freak.

  • @ElliotOffenTrachea Most of the time 50 wins will get you a higher seed. and coming off a 23 win and a 20 win seasons in seattle and okc. that is a great season

  • @fun1234982 Coming off the 23 win and 20 win seasons that Bennett created when he traded Allen and failed to reason Lewis.

  • @ElliotOffenTrachea He did not trade allen to destroy the sonics he trade allen to get a group of younger guys and build a team for the future

  • @fun1234982 Yes he did. Allen has still been tearing it up ever since he was traded. The team would have been better with Allen. Allen helped take the Celtics to the Finals 2 of the last 3 years. And Lewis helped take Orlando two years ago.

  • @ElliotOffenTrachea Presti wanted a young team that could grow together. So to do that he had to get younger players and they are still getting draft picks from the trades they made then

  • @fun1234982 Right. That's what the plan was to prepare for their years in OKC. They didn't want immediate success because that would have made it more difficult to move the team from Seattle.

  • @ElliotOffenTrachea If they had kept all their players they would be older and less effective today, it was not to destroy seattle it was to make them a better team down the road.

  • @fun1234982 Allen sure as hell looks effective still today. He was the best player for the Celtics during the Finals. You mean to tell me that you don't think the Thunder would be better with Allen?

  • @ElliotOffenTrachea I don't think so just because Allen is a vetern and the thunder wanted a fresh young team so they can keep them around for many years

  • @fun1234982 I'm talking about right now. Winning now. Of course they would be better with Allen. You always want to win when you have the chance to. The future is never certain.

  • @ElliotOffenTrachea I would rather have many successful years down the road than 1 successful year right now. With teams getting older they wanted to grow as a team so they could be better, and the trades they did with allen and lewis they are still getting picks from those trades

  • @fun1234982 So you would rather hope and pray for a successful future instead of trying to win the championship now? Injuries happen, lockouts happen, players leave. The future is never a guarantee. They could have already won the title the past three years. Who knows what will happen in the future.

  • @ElliotOffenTrachea If they would have kept the players they would have not had the money to resing Durant, Westbrook, and others

  • @fun1234982 They aren't going to be able to resign Durant, Westbrook, Green and Harden anyway because unlike the Lakers, the Thunder owners don't have the money to pay the luxury tax. They should have won the title when they had the chance with Durant, Allen and Lewis.

  • @ElliotOffenTrachea Allen and Lewis couldn't do anything with the sonics and Bennett and Presti wanted a championship team down the road and did not want a quick fix.

  • @fun1234982 They couldn't do anything? In 2005 they finished with a better record and the #3 seed. The Thunder haven't even achieved that. They finished 4th in their own division. lol. Imagine what they would have done with Durant. And Bennett wanted a championship team down the road because he didn't want them to do well in Seattle. Because he has no integrity, not guts, he's a pussy.

  • @ElliotOffenTrachea you are comparing 40+ seasons in seattle to a couple in OKC. they could not have kept allen, lewis, and durant because of the money, and Howard Schultz didn't care enough to take care of them. they would not have been able to win a championship in seattle. So quit complaining you still got the mariners and the sehawks, and the storm. so you still have 1 profesional basketball team ha ha ha, seattle has the wnba, and Okla has the nba and wnba. have fun with that

  • @fun1234982 I'm talking about the seasons with Allen and Lewis, not all 40 years. The Sonics definitely could afford Allen, Lewis and Durant when Durant was drafted, and they could have won immediately. Why are you bringing up Schultz for? Schultz was gone by then, Bennett was the GM. And nobody here gives a shit about the WNBA. Although I hear the Storm have the best record in the league this year. Seattle's got the MLB, NFL and MLS. OKC has the NBA, tumbleweeds and dust. Sounds fun!

  • @ElliotOffenTrachea Seattle's record mariners 39-60, Seahawks 5-11, soccer 6-8. the Okc thunder record 50-32 the mariners have played 99 games and the thunder has played only 82 games (not counting the playoffs) and the thunder still has more wins than the mariners. lets see 3 failures or 1 sucessful team I think I will stick with the successful thunder

  • @fun1234982 The Sounders are a failure? lmao! The Sounders are in the quarterfinals for the US Open Cup. That's a failure? They won the Cup last year and had a playoff inaugural season. They are within a couple points of playoff contention this year too. The Storm are 20-2, tied for best all-time WNBA record. The Seahawks just had the best draft in the NFL and the Huskies/Jake Locker are about to begin a Heisman trophy season. Bunch of failures. Explain how losing in the 1st round is a success.

  • @ElliotOffenTrachea how do you know that they had the best draft in the nfl they could be a bust like many other players drafted the sonders still have a losing record just like the sehawks, sonics so you can take your wnba team and sit back and watch the success in OKC

  • @fun1234982 wat is oklahoma???

  • @paydrolopez Oklahoma is where one of the best nba teams are at, where the one of the top ncaa teams is at, Oklahoma is where history is being made

  • @fun1234982 yeeeeeeea i still never really herd about that place..or thing whatever

  • @paydrolopez where is seattle? is it in china or something?

  • @seattle4life seattle is wit ur mom right now so let them hav a good time and be a good boy...k

  • @paydrolopez seattle is to busy crying over the sonics, that maybe why everyone i see from seattle is stuck up. Seattle didn't care about the sonics they cared about Seattle

  • @fun1234982 and oklahoma is too busy being....oklahomo,not the city the state..

  • @paydrolopez Oklahoma is too busy handling thier success

  • @fun1234982 i fucked up not the state the city..sooners are good, thunder...i mean who names a pro sport team thunder???? this aint college or high school its the pros!!

  • @paydrolopez the name does not matter, it is the success within the team that matters

  • @paydrolopez u gotta understand bro, they've never had a pro team so they werent thinking whne they named them "thunder"hahahaha....they were so excited to finally have a pro team in sheep land lol......i bet even the players hate living in that fucking shit hole!

  • @paydrolopez ok ur right about that, durant's a future star anyway(thanks to seattle) but goddamn them unis are awwwwful. plz agree wit me about that at least...

  • @paydrolopez lol "thanks to seattle" if they stayed in seattle they would still be in the bottom of the standings fighting for last place. Now in OKC they have become contenders

  • @fun1234982 YES stupid ass, "thanks to seattle" u guys hav a superstar in the making.seattle drafted him, we drafted his ass, and now he has to live in nowhere oklahoma. u think he wanted to move there..trust me seatlle or okc, i dnt no squat about basketball: im more of a nfl guy, but the thunders r a unknown n overrated basketball team, at least where im from.

  • @paydrolopez Clay Bennett bought the team a year before they moved to okc and he hired sam presti who drafted Durant, so it was because a guy from OKLAHOMA helped get Durant

  • @fun1234982 k but damn they got the ugliest looking uniforms in all of pro sports..that all ima say....

  • @paydrolopez i would rather have a blue thunder uniform than a green seattle uniform, that is all im going to say

  • @fun1234982 FUK basketball how bout them seahawks!!!(sea27sd20) ya thats right my city can actually afford an nfl franchise.

  • @paydrolopez lol your just looking for an excuse.

  • @fun1234982 excuse, for what? okc is a shit hole..

  • @paydrolopez okc is a lot better and improving quick unlike seattle which is falling by the wasteside

  • Respond to this video... oh n the comment from sgodswillc below me si sooo true

  • @paydrolopez these fucking rednecks bro seriously..........the only thing oklahomos know how to do is tip cows over and fuck sheep! i mean look at bennett hes got redneck tattood on his fucking face lol...sheep fucking motherfufcker lol.....

  • @SgodswillC hahah true that..

  • @paydrolopez hahahahaha!! seattle is one of americas top 5 cities do some research why dont you.oh by the way seattle storm wnba champions2010 i no i no its the wnba but a championship is a championship regardless.

  • @fun1234982 oklahomo is one redneck state! there isnt shit there! only 1 pro team buddy.......compared to 4 pro teams in seattle! get ur shit rite.... Pacific Northwest and West Coast for life!

  • @SgodswillC Oklahoma has more than one pro team, and most of the pro teams in seattle are not very good anyway

  • @ElliotOffenTrachea They could not have won a tittle, they didn't have Sott Brooks head coach until they moved to OKC, they would not have had GM Sam Presti if they didn't move Sea could have made it a winning franchise, but they didn't do it

  • @fun1234982 Why would they need Scott Brooks to win the championship? Brooks has never coached a championship team. He hasn't achieved anything.

  • @ElliotOffenTrachea That is because he never even coached another team every coach has to start somewhere. In his first full year he is coach of the year, every coach has his first, Michael Jordan played 7 yrs before he won his first tittle.

  • @fun1234982 Right. So answer the question. Why would they need Scott Brooks to win the championship? Michael Jordan did much better than the 8th seed before he won a championship.

  • @ElliotOffenTrachea there is no way they would have won a tittle, because that would take up most of the cap room

  • @ElliotOffenTrachea That just shows how much better they are in Oklahoma City because you have to go back to the 70's to find a better season

  • @fun1234982 No u dumb troll. You don't have to go back to the 1970's to find a better season. U just keep outdoing yourself with stupidity. The Sonics had more than 50 wins in 1980, '82, '93, '94, '95, '96, '97, '98 & '05. That is 9 seasons they had more wins than the Thunder since the 70's. Not to mention the Sonics got past the 1st round 11 times since the 70's. The Thunder finished in 4th place in their division. The Sonics finished at 4th place or higher 21 times between now and the 1970's.

  • @ElliotOffenTrachea Okc had to rebuild a franchise that seattle drove into the ground

  • @fun1234982 You mean Bennett drove into the ground.

  • @ElliotOffenTrachea If drive into the ground means to hire a gm that seattle didn't like, Sam Presti has built a team for the future not right now

  • @fun1234982 Why build for the future when they could have won it all right after drafting Durant? Allen, Lewis and Durant would have won a lot of games, but Bennett didn't want the team to succeed in Seattle.

  • @ElliotOffenTrachea Presti makes the decisions not Bennet, they wanted long term success not just for a year or two. Allen and Lewis is getting old

  • @fun1234982 No. What the owner says goes. Bennett can fire Presti. Presti can't fire Bennett. And the name of the game is to win the championship. And they could have done it right then and there.

  • @ElliotOffenTrachea Presti makes the decisions such as trades and free agents, and they could not have done nothing with the team they had

  • @fun1234982 No trades or free agent signings take place without the owner's knowledge.

  • Comment removed

  • Good video but I don't agree with your implication that the Storm should've been moved to Seattle. Them team that Oklahoma City got is the only professional team in Oklahoma and I don't think that the WNBA gets enough attendance to have a team work like that.

  • this is really upsetting

imagine if the sonic never moved

never traded away allen kept rashard lewis and had durant they would be in the top 5 every year

  • I'm not going to lie, I cried a liitle.

  • Fuck the Thunder- long live the sonics

  • We do have our own team dickshot....and a hell of a team they are.

  • Anyone know what this song is called?

  • Everyday by Carly Comando

  • its like a bad dream for me i moved from seattle where i grew up then a yr. later i come home an boom there gone i walked in the local sports bar an shouted hows the sonics doing there playing right. an the whole room turned on me. i didnt know they where gone im so sad. FU okc get ur own team.

  • I'm a fam of the Sonics in Spain that enjoyed with the team middle 90's and I really hope the Sonics can get back home in the future. Go Sonics Go!!!

  • Cincinnati was mad about this kind of thing when they relocated the Royals and they became the Sacramento Kings. It is a shame because Cincinnati is a baketball town and we don't have a NBA team anymore.

  • that was good

  • whats the song name?

  • Everyday: Carly Comando

  • Loyal fan base? The Sonics were near the bottom of the league in attendance, year after year. LOL

  • Aubrey McClendon's company, Chesapeake, has to sell off its assets because they are 12 billion in the hole.

The probability of a lockout is at 60%.

The economy and cheap oil has killed Clay Bennett's worth.

Oklahoma City is looking at a possible relocation in 2014.

    Where payback happens.

  • Blazers fan here. I'm going to miss the SuperSonics. I loved watching my Blazers play them.

  • Love this vid, too bad the lawmakers have no idea how sport's fans really feel and how much culture sports does bring to cities.

Now there planning a 300 mil renovation of the washington state convention center, why not do the Key for half the cost and get the Sonics and probably a Hockey team here as well, besides if done right the Key could easily hold a political convention and the like!

Stupid Washington State Lawmakers, don't know anything!

  • 0:19 must be "WHERE SUCKERS HAPPENS" or maybe

    "WHERE "FUCK YOU BENNETT" HAPPENS"

  • OKC is a joke. They watch nascar, they could give 2 fucks about B-ball. Las vegas would of been a better place. I think they fucked up moving the team to redneck nation.

  • fuck you. we supported a team (hornets), when they had nowhere to go. without us they wouldn't have played anywhere for two years. we gave them a fair home court advantage and proved to the world we are big league. we actually spent our money on an arena and and proud of it. most of the people don't give a shit about nascar b/c there aren't races here.we are a great place. most people live in the suburbs and don't farm much to your surprise. & we didn't bring them here. they choose us over vegas

  • someone is butt hurt cuz im telin the truth. Why don't go you go fuck your sister, Ladies man.

  • you guys are the ones who didn't as you think we would say here in oklahoma "pony up" and give the money that is needed to build a new arena. your arena was 40 years old. its outdated and its natural for a new arena to be built. key arena lived its life and it was a good one. your hope for the franchise died when you didn't pull out your pocketbooks to keep the team there. the nba is all about the money nothing else and when you don't build them what you want, you don't get a team. bottom line.

  • You obviously don't know much about the situation. Seattle had already spent money rebuilding two other arenas, they couldn't afford it at the time. Besides, the arena that the SuperSonics were using was still in perfect playing condition.

Seattle got fucked over by the NBA, and people are understandably mad about it. It's just some people direct their anger in the wrong way.

  • well sadly that's the way the NBA works....how to make the most money however they can.

the arena was in playing condition but the ford center is better and we are more than willing to give the money needed to provide the building they want and need for the NBA.

seatle lost their team when a shultz sold the team to an Oklahoman. that's life..ger over it.

  • >seatle lost their team when a shultz sold the team to an Oklahoman. that's life..ger over it.

Seattle was lied to and cheated out of a team that has a 41 year history there. You need to understand the impact that has on people who have grown up watching them. You didn't lose a team, they did. You have no right to tell them to get over it.

  • Oklahoma aint shit.

  • @Crunchyblackisreal Fuck you. You clearly know nothing about Oklahoma, yet alone its counties. Come visit OKC and see how redneck we are. I can assure you that almost all of us are more intelligent than you and you would most definietly get your ass handed to talking like that.

  • Comment removed

  • @BBright37 They are just mad because we are becoming a bigger and better city / state

  • @Crunchyblackisreal I'm sorry, but that's BS. They got the biggest standing ovation I've ever seen when they lost to the Lakers.

  • nebraska and seattle have something in common,no nba team

  • REBEL JUST FUCK OFF!

  • Seattle screwed themselves. It was simply a matter of them dropping the ball and we were just there to pick it up. The fact that the city almost lost the Mariners and Seahawks before should tell you something. They just don't really care, they take their sports teams for granted, and they have really piss poor leaders. So blame yourselves and nobody else. It's better for the team anyway, they're gonna think they've died and gone to heaven when they see real support, you better believe it.

  • screw nyc who cares what hats those socialist bloomburgites wear.they need to stop worrying about hats and start thinking about condoms in that vd infested hellhole

  • The NBA has become the gold standard for a poorly run sports association. Not only has the league undermined its faithful fans of 41 years, it has also served the elitists, the likes of Clay Bennett. As a 15 year old Seattleite, I will cope knowing I will never pay a cent to the filthy hands of Stern. The league will die a slow death, through scandals and manipulation, i.e. poor ratings in recent years; then maybe David Stern and his like will know what it feels like to see a team leave town.

  • clay is the man!!!!!!!!

  • DUDE I FEEL 4 U SONIC FANS i know my clippers will have to move someday :[

  • Well I do hate the laker's but at least you will have a NBA team in your city, poor wichita, Kansas is lonely without one

  • I'm a huge atlanta hawks fan too, and this is so sad. I'd be devastated if they took our team away. And i def. agree with the part that says they took the wrong team

  • But the fans are the ones who couldn't do anything about it and are now suffering

  • I can sympathise wit sonic fan. I lost a team in the Browns from another GREEDY owner who wanted a new stadium. I don't get how a new stadium changes things. They stiil hold people and they come. Far Modell moved the team and we sold out every game! 80,000 people. How the hell can you lose money? He left for insentives and that's it. Put a damn product on the floor and then maybe you wouldn't! Oklahoma City? HaHahaha. What a joke. Are they changing their names to the Cow-patties?

  • ramjet, search on here for 1995 Browns. I posted something like what you said, but my thought wasn't taken well. I guess I can't emphasize, except if I wanted to be an ass about it, the Chicago Bears moved from Decatur, IL (my hometown) to Chicago, that turned out nice. As for the video, I've seen it before, its awesome, it deserves a TV spot, but no need to bash the Storm. If we all look back, it started with Katrina. Put the Hornets in OKC.

  • hey i agree with you on the browns but not the sonics i dont know if you know this or not but did you know that the sonics are losing millions of dollers a year and also when the hornets where hear they sold out ever game and we have a bigger stadium the seattle dose so this move dose make since

  • One reason OKC doesn't deserve the Super Sonics, Oklahomans cant even speak/write proper English. I quote joe87 "when the hornets where hear" or "so this move dose make since". Go watch Nascar you dumb fuck.

  • Oh shut up and get over it. Be happy you still have the browns...loser. *flashes ravens superbowl 35 t shirt*

  • asswipe bitch ass I suppose youre from Okc? What do they have? Cows? People screwing horses? No one asked for your cocky aaaaaasssss answer. As far as getting over it, ohhh I'm way over it. Gotta get lucky sometime right? Oklahoma City, Indianapolis, Baltipuke, Tennesse, ETC. It's all about the jack. Most owners don't give a rats ass about the fans.

  • No I'm from baltimore, which shows what a moron you are. And until the video owner disables comments, I'm gonna post where ever I damn well please. ^_^

  • MY bad. You are from Baltipuke. The home of the Baltimoron Ravens. Another thieving, lying, back stabbing,dumbfk,&*^%#%^@#@! city that accepted someone who is just like the owner of the colts. Punk asses. Got lucky because that team was a 1 year wonder. Just so you know that sorry ass team is hated by more NFL fans than any other. Because of the way it was handled. Art Model is a FAT LIAR!!!

  • the facts are as follows. Your gov't did NOTHING. Shultz said he would sell the team if nowplans for a arena was made. Your local gov't sat on its hands. Shultz sold the team. Shultz said Bennett would have a better chance of getting an arena because he could threaten to move the team. your gov't did NOTHING. So Bennett moves the team and now your playing the "victim". Where was your support BEFORE the move?

  • If Seattle wasn't so stubborn, and hellbent on proving a point while attempting to accomplish nothing more than a moral victory....they'd settle, let the Sonics go, and move on toward the future. Don't they know that the longer this thing goes on, the more their chances of ever seeing another team in this lifetime again gets slimmer and slimmer? I guess it doesn't matter now...they won't see another team as long as Stern is the commish. They've pissed him off too much, so he told em to shove it.

  • They don't need to deal with that crap...not when there are cities out there like Oklahoma City, cities with less money and a smaller market that manage to work together to get things done and make real committment to having a team. What Seattle can't figure out how to do, we did with the simple snap of a finger. It's true. The move might not be popular with the players right now, it would be unfair to ask that of them, but once they get here, they'll be in shock at the kind of support they get.

  • Why would the NBA want to keep a team in a city that's well....arrogant to be quite honest. A place with leaders that don't feel sports teams bring any culture and for that reason don't feel they need to prioritize for it, and fans that as good as they may have been in the past, have lost alot of interest in the team, and have only shown signs of life and emotion now when it's without a doubt, too late to achieve anything more than 2 more years with the Sonics? Why would the NBA want that?

  • is that city Oklahoma City? If the NBA liked them so much, they would've stayed there. This isn't anyones fault, its Hurricane Katrina's fault. No Katrina, no Hornets temp move to OKC, no bastard in OKC taking a 40 year old franchise with no merit, and you and I wouldn't be having this conversation.

  • The Sonics will always be Seattle to me, just like the Hornets will always be Charlotte to me.

  • where going to a viable economic situation because the nba is a business happens...

  • Seattle is an extremely good market. OKC, well, is not.

If the NBA were truely worried about franchsie values they would be doing everything they can to keep them in Seattle.

  • whatever sodygentry said it was me
