I can suggest a better team for Gold: Meganium Feraligatr Typhlosion (since Red had all 3 starters, why not Gold?) Ampharos (The main Electric type Poke'mon in Johto) Sudowoodo (One was in his way, the same reason Red has Snorlax) Togekiss (Fully evolved Togepi that Prof. Elm gave him) But if you want to be true to the manga, then his trainer sprite should have a cue stick and his team would be: Abipom Sudowoodo Togekiss Sunflora Politoed Typhlosion

I wouldn't say Yellow for the fact that Green doesn't haven his Eevee or an evolution of it. Also, the games are never based on the anime.

i think it would be great to make the Battle theme match the Elite Four battle theme of the games the character is from. :p In which case..

Brendan = Hoenn Elite four(you got that one already)

Gold = Johto Gym Battle/Elite four

Lucas = Sinnoh Gym Battle/Elite four

Blue(Green) - His Champion Theme

Champion Red = His Battle theme
