  • Uggh I hated the Serpentor character so much.

    This, I command!

  • love this . the only show where you can have a fist fight in the middle of a shoot out.

  • I got it! GI Joe was counting coup! That explains why nobody died!

  • Jesus Chrixt!! Who the hell funded Cobra?? Bill Gates?? The Saudi Kingdom??

  • @Straphis2001 In fact Destro was pretty rich. But in the movie it was told that Cobra LA was one of the big funder.

But I dont think that Cobra got lots of money because they build their own stuff, they employees was not paid in money. So their own organisation structure was not build with money in mind but fear and reward

  • @Straphis2001 lol

  • @Straphis2001 OIL BABY! OIL! LOL!

  • @Straphis2001 the same who funded the "Joes"

  • @Straphis2001 To piggyback off of norms' comments, there are other funding sources too. The "twins" Tomax and Xamot ran Extensive Enterprises which supplied corporate money to Cobra. In addition, Cobra also sold weapons to rebel countries in the Cold War era Marvelcomic books.

  • Loved the show and the toys, but the intro did really suck!

  • Are you certain its 2nd season. I thought Sargent Slaugter wasn't introduced until at least the 3rd season (granted it been a long time since I watch).

  • Fuck GI Joe, if you want something done right, don't ask America to do it. They will just fuck it up instead.

  • bac when times where good who agrees with me

  • Can someone help me here? When it says "it's gi joe against cobra the enemy", isn't there a version that says "cobra and destro"?

  • @ishingo69 4YXQSrOCeKQ <<< paste that after v= in the URL bar

  • @warlord1981nl There we go! Thx a bunch!

  • @ishingo69 Yep thats the 1st season intro

  • @ishingo69

Yes there is. It was used in the 5 part mini series: A real American Hero (M.A.S.S. Device)

There may have been other episodes that used it as well.

I had thought the "Revenge of Cobra" used it. But having put that DVD in to check. It didn't. At least in the Rhino video release it didn't.

  • Any of you remember when Sgt. Slaughter came to the WWF? LOL!

  • Lol, Serpentor got owned by a girl.

  • @NomnomJawsnomnom - hey! GIRLS RULE!!! YO JOE!!! LOL! (just playin' with ya...obviously i'm a girl lol!)

  • One of my very favorite cartoons from when I was a kid, I only wish the U.S. really did fight for freedom where ever there was trouble and fought till the fights won, Libya is a good case in point where we could do some good and are just standing by as a ruthless dictator murders his people.

  • Most kids hate America, this cartoon taught me how to be tough and not give up! even if the odds were against me!And that was half the battle ! Totally kickass

  • Sgt. Slaughter that's classic y'all idk if the wrestler did the voice for him or not

  • Serpentor=useless as hell leads a charge and gets netted by Lady Jaye what an ass Cobra Commander could be better but never is.... except for his recent hard ass turn in Resolute..

  • σκατα στην αμερικανικη προπαγανδα και το φιλοπολεμο αισθημα που αποπνεει

  • Liberal Pussies are the reason shows like this don't exist anymore. With today's kids being such pussies, I fear what will happen to this world.

  • @raythedodger moms a bitch

  • 0:44 Bazooka actually taking aim for once..LOL

  • I Believe This Was "G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero" Video Open From 1986.

  • No way, I thought I saw Sgt. Slaughter!

  • @sjnetkings you did!

  • better than the real life movie

  • St. Slaugher, now there's a real man. lol.

  • SERPENTOR's the shit! PERIOD!

  • YO JOE!!!!!!!!!!! HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

  • is it only me or you guys... I feel goosebumps everytime I watch this

  • @JimmyLeong no its not just you ;)

I learn english with that show... and in Quebec we where so lucky to have the french Quebec version too DOUBLE THE JOES DOSE Lolll

(Look at my other video to see it) D

  • me too! it feels nostalgic... and wrong at the same time... never realize how violent the cartoons i watched from the 1980s

  • Except that no one ever died, even the bad guys always had time to eject with a parachute.

  • everytime!!!

  • @JimmyLeong i get the goosebumps also. u are not alone.

  • @JimmyLeong I get the same feeling...it's an American feeling lol.

  • @JimmyLeong I agree with nords because it's not just you! As I clicked the link and heard the song playing I actually like a mad flippin' fool hollared out YO JOE and out of nowhere started singing along with the song like as if it were still fresh in my head. I cannot seem to remember an anniversary or a birthday but I'm proud to say that I still know this theme song and to quote the Joes, "...And knowing is half the battle! G....I....Joeeeeeeeeeeee!"

  • @JimmyLeong no dude im 33 and this song pumps me up everytime i hear it.

  • Im impressed the Cobra guys didnt manage to accidently hit the G I Joes

  • Wait, did he shoot a solider with a missile?

  • @JackOfSpades93

That soldier was a android; not a lick of flesh on it. At any rate, it makes me laugh every time I see Roadblock hit those twins; it reminds me of the three stooges. Moe is their leader.. Nyuk! Nyuk! Nyuk!

  • poor America?...I wouldn't say that. Don't forget that we use tap water as ass water, then we go buy legit bottled spring water to piss off truly poor people around the world!

  • Wow, another American breaking the IQ barrier there...

  • Bin Laden is Cobra,yeah !

  • lol true

  • So ,9/11 was created in 1985,by the makers of these cartoons and the Bush- Neocons picked them up.Crazy World ! POOR AMERICA !!!

  • @MrGuitarmeninspace Bin Laden would have alot more fans if he had a cool outfit.

  • what are the names of the cobra twins?

  • Tomax and Xamot.

  • the crimson twins...

  • Yoooooo....Iceberg and Alpine with the drop kick, and my man Roadblock with the right hook on the twins...damn, brings tears to my eyes.

  • Oh and did you see Sargent Slaughter Sluged That Short-Haired Guy Wearing Glasses?.

  • The only thing I hate about this intro they just edited the "Cobra and Destro Line to Cobra the enemy"

  • yooo joe

  • G.I. JOE IS THEREEEEEEEE

  • I'm so pumped I'm gonna go enlist!!

Wait, that was fiction, wasn't it? Nevermind.....

  • "Cobra the enemy"

    that sounded really corny...

  • A true classic! But, the song is a little campy. I like the movie intro better!

  • sgt. slaughter is in this one

  • burn today tools like fucking dexters lab and that crap....YO JOE !!!

  • GO JOE! G.I JOE!

  • I like the song version from the first season, but this has some of the best animation, like when Slaughter jumps into his punch on Monkeywrench. Nice.

  • no wonder kids suck nowadays, didnt get to grow up watching real stuff like this

  • @ForTehNguyen i only liked cobra... cobra was so cool

  • @ForTehNguyen

You are right there, cartoons like this have been banned as they are "too violent" and now look at kids today dressed up like emos walking around like pathetic skinny runty wimps.

How are cartoons like this deemed "violent" but Eminem writing a song about beating a woman up & burning the house down with her in it allowed to be broadcast?

The world is fucked as we know it.

  • @GodBotherer1 - lol! I understand what you mean. I'm guessing they ban this g.i.joe for it being too violent because this show is STRICTLY targeted to kids (hince it being a cartoon).. I think they broadcast Eminem's junk because he doesn't try to target little kids.. but I guess rather the "young adult"...lol! I guess..

I know what you mean though... my brother was JUST saying that it is pathetic how it was banned.

  • @ForTehNguyen these days parents are paranoid about violence....yet they let them play M rated games?...

  • Now i know!!

  • And knowing is half the battle! ;D

  • GI Joooooooooooe!

  • Nords, :D Wrong lrycks, The first seaon have Cobra and Destro, rest three seaons have Cobra The enemy

  • Actually, there were only ever 4 Seasons of original GI Joe all in all (including the Miniseries which were part of those Seasons) as well as a Movie. The first two Seasons were made by Sunbow, as was the animated film. Following the film however, Seasons 3 and 4 were made by DIC. There was a total of five Miniseries over the course of the original Show. These were called 'The MASS Device', 'The Revenge of Cobra', 'The Pyramid of Darkness', 'Arise Serpentor, Arise!' and 'Operation Dragonfire'.

  • CORRECT! You win the sum of $100,000,000 in Cobra Currency.

  • Uhhh...thanks. I think. :)

  • is it just me or does ji joe sound like a recruting program or propaganda of somesort

  • Not really. the original cartoon preached about the use of negotiation, peaceful resolutions, and non-violence.

There was one scene that stuck in my mind, where Duke and the Joes said they should never act like their enemy (Cobra) by torturing or harming them. They made the point that to maintain the moral high ground, you had to uphold everyone's rights, even your enemy.

Gi Joe was very Liberal, to be honest. People hate admitting that.

  • Now you know... and knowing is half the battle YO JOE!

  • I wouldn't stick political labels on GI Joe, they were pretty much the embodiment of American ideals. Stuff like the moral high ground isn't some political mumbo jumbo, but something that can be related to all good guy characters.

Besides, they "killed" robots, is that liberal too?

  • HAHAH fags

  • Exactly, FatalGn0me. GI Joe acted the way good guys and Americans should act. It's a shame that we can't trust their real life counterparts to uphold those same ideals.

Of course, if you read their biography cards, the Joes were all super-intelligent Yale and West Point and Oxford grads with multiple degrees who spoke several foreign languages. Nowadays those things would get you labeled "elitist" or "not a real American."

  • @jacobkosh Eh, hopefully those admired traits return

  • I´m agree. but Snake eyes never go Yale or a university. he´s really a common american. one of the thousand young men send to Vietnam. No great propperties, no money, one common farm Family. but a great son of a bitch ninja made in japan

  • @FatalGn0me They use explosives every episode, usually without the need to. They probably would've killed a shitload of ppl if it was real life.

  • it didn't work on me, when i was a kid I wanted to join Cobra, the Crimson Guard outfits ruled. Also they had a better health care plan as we found out in the Traitor episode.

  • I love Canada. Its beautiful and the people are chill.

The new movie coming out doesn't even seem to justify the original G.I. Joe other than the title.

    G.I. stands for Government Issued.

  • I thought GI stood for General Infantry... dunno where i got that from.

  • It's supposed to but Hasbro messed up.

  • I read the novel and the whole acronym 4 GI Joe is Just a myth. It does stand for Goverment issued.

  • Did he shoot a rocket into that guys chest 0:46 thats awesome. I used to watch when i was young, the movie looks good. I remember another opening theme. Sounded like 80's rock, "got to get tough go joe! got to get tough go joe!"

  • Got 2 get tough was from the late 80s-early90s Joe show.

  • It wasn't a guy. It was a Battle Android Trooper (B.A.T.). In the episode where they were introduced, they took no less than a rocket launcher to destroy.

  • What does G.I stand for? Its probably really obvious but I cannot remember

  • It mean General Infantry

  • it actually refers to galvanized iron, and was used in reference to military equipment, and somehow later came to take on the meaning "government issue". the usage of the term general infantry came much much later, and was never used by the military.

  • @nords German Infantry! HIEL HITLER!

  • @nords galvanized iron, it used to say GI for short on alot of military equipment

  • @nords Even though your comment is a year old;

    G.I stands for Government Issue.

  • @nords no it doesn't you ass. it means General Issue. God... idiot!

  • @jros83 hahahha your saying that im and Idiot lolll and you said its General Issue lollll But its GOVERNMENT ISSUE for your knowledge. But at the time I wrote that General Infantry (one year ago) I just quote Larry Lama from and interview that he said General Infantry (my mistake).

So before insulting someone ... be sure to not insulting yourself ;)

  • @nords so we were both wrong. which means, you were still wrong.

  • @jros83 search in encyclopedia ;) thats where a got my info

  • @nords It's Hama not Lama

  • in the 40s its Government Issued

  • @SuperRonStoppable Government Issue

  • @SuperRonStoppable GI means Government Issue in the military. So in the case of GI Joe, they use Joe as a common name for a man to call them Government Issued men, making them real american heroes

  • I didnt know Serpanthor (SP) was the cobra leader in season 2? I thought he came later?

  • No, i ahev a season 2 boxset, the first 5 episodes is a minimovie about how Serpentor was created my Dr. Mindbender, and how they got the DNA to make him. ,It's really cool.

  • George W Bush was a cunt, I'm sorry but it had to be said.

  • At 0:51, double PWND

  • God bless G.I. Joe! YO JOE!

  • HELL YES!

  • Ur a fuckn joke you bitch hippy!

  • This was cool back in the day but looking back its basically just patriotic American bullshit designed to brainwash kids. No wonder the majority of Americans marched to war under Bush so easily to fight the "evil terrorists". So many people in the US are war-mongering sheep, and they've been bred like that since they were children. Thank god your country is on the downfall as an empire, I used to worry you might actually succeed in taking over the world like you secretly wish.

  • you are so fucking dumb.... Europe are warmongers, Europe was fighting each other and starting wars for 100's of years. You dumb ass Europe created America. Europe started both world wars, the 100's years wars, Napolean, French revolutions out the ass. you are a dumb fuck look how easy i proved it. the United States is a UNION just like the EU and oh dumbfuck, we're only about 230 years old.

  • There's always war. Europe, Asia, Africa, discrimination - it's all because we want resources. We want their gold, their lands, or we don't want "black people taking ours" for example. However, Europeans did not create America. The Europeans who lived in Europe didn't like the political/ religious climate, and those combined with economic emigrants, left Europe to start a new country. Yes, lands laid claim to America but none started it.

  • you've had some socialist dumb fuck shit for 70 years... and you think you are fucking some peaceful monks... lol what a fucking joke. dumb mother fucking shit head Euro

  • ok lets see if my history is right. Europe has had how many more wars in its history than the u.s.a. or maby its just that since the world war 1 Europe has not been able win any of the fights it starts with out crying to us to save there butts. or maby all of Europe has become a bunch of wimps with a weak military who are afraid of getting there hands dirty

  • We liberated your weak ass in every war, you were begging fo our support against french Rightafter We kicked your ass for independence. You were begging for our help In ww2. Mother fucker WE got over 150 thousand troops in the MIddle East you got like 10k, are you mentally ill?

  • hahahaha ur fuckin canadian talkin shit about US hahahaha go suck an elks dick or w/e yall do up there in MEXICO NORTH!

  • i need dvd rip of sesason 2!!!

  • God bless G.I. Joe one of the best action cartoons of all time.

  • i still have all my 121 gijoe figures from when i was a kid, even got some in the original packages. as far as the logo looking french maybe, but the french dont have the balls to fight like gijoe does, they are a bunch of pussies.

  • Go Flint!

  • uh if he is an american hero how come the flag on logo looks like french? should be stars and stripes

  • The logo doesn't have a flag, but instead it has the colours of the American flag. Red, white, blue. Same as France, but have more Yo Joe in them.

  • G.i.joe is coming back to dvd!! season 1 part 1 july21!!

  • I'm looking forward to get the original series instead that 4KIDSTV junk. I missed the original series and the 80's as well. GO, JOE!

  • I was in my 20's when this came out. I always like SGT Slaughter and Shipwreck. Colorful Characters.

  • Baroness you still haunt my dreams.(Creepy old guy on Family Guy sound:"mmmmmmmm")

  • yeah..fck the ppl who made sponge bob. sucks.

  • spongebob is the most annoying mother fucker I have ever seen...I absolutely hate that fucking cartoon and I hope whoever made that fucking theme song burns in hell.....That fucking song is the most annoying song I have ever heard.....YO JOE!!!!

  • This reminds me of how much children's cartoons suck today.

  • man i say that like everyday they really fucked up big haha

  • No kidding! I feel sorry for today's kids.

  • Todays 'cartoons' are just Liberal morality lessons. A real cartoon would be Swat Kats or Dextor's Lab, random, funny, and a liberal dose of stuff exploding.

  • Jesus stop blaming everything on LIBERALS. If it wasn't for liberals, we might still have blacks enslaved or segregated, words like gooks/slopes/Orientals still accepted, etc. White ppl act as if they should be entitled to do everything...how about STFU and accept that the world doesn't just allow you blow stuff up ad nauseum and stereotype your way through life. No wonder all the NeoCons are being voted out...people are sick of that shit

  • If you must know, I'm Mexican, not white. I am also an independent, not this 'NeoCon' label pricks like you throw on anyone who disagrees with your views. So who is really stereotyping here?

How about a history lesson. Republicans, under Honest Abe, were true Liberals who fought to oppose slavery. It was true Liberals that fought for Civil Rights and Women's sufferage.

The 'Liberals' of today support 'affirmative action' and illegal immigration at the expense of true equality.

  • Keep it clean guys its a Cartoon TV show!! ;)

  • LOL! Sry about that but you know how these things go: politics + youtube = flamewar

  • @nords no, it's army propaganda/ toy commercial posing as a cartoon.

  • Keep it clean guys its a Cartoon TV show!! ;)

  • They dont made cartoon like this anymore, cartoon these days make no sense at all

  • I love this cartoon! Too bad we can only find it here...

  • Funny how this ' patriotic ' cartoon looks like it was animated in Asia.

That's Reagan America, for you, folks !Now he's obsolete. And how.

    ***

Great, great animation, however. Miles better than the sissy crap they indoctrinate the kiddies with now on the ' te-re-bi '.

  • The only thing obsolete is your bi-

    partinship ignorance and general hatred

for your country's history. Ronald Reagan

    was a successful and transcendent

President in our country's history. Show

some respect, sir. Now, back to our classic 1980s cartoons!

  • Man, Sarge was one manly motherfucker - jumping from ATV to ATV, punching out mercenaries.

    The 80's were awesome.

  • See? we were fighting osama bin ladin long before 2001

  • And the Taliban

  • Man I loved this show and the toys *drool*

  • GI Joe is awesome!

  • any body remember this being called "Action Force"?

  • action force was the title for G.I.Joe outside the US

  • I know in Canada it was still called Gi Joe. Action Force was UK and maybe Europe in genreal.

  • Action Force was call that in UK and Germany

In france it was G.I. Joe

But now Action Force as change from Action Force to G.I.Joe The Action Force and then G.I. Joe but I may be wrong.
