Yes. When your left foot (for right handed throwers) touches down in the power position, the height of the discus should be as high as you can get so that it "unweights" the discus and you can sling it more easily throwing farther. Gerd Kanter does this extremely well and i think that is why he is consistenly near 70 meters at most meets.
Your orbit seemed a bit flatter on this throw than others you have posted. I don't know if it is helping you or hurting you. I may be something to mess with. I know when I get my orbit perfect, I add at least ten feet onto what I am throwing with an okay orbit.
dude is quick and a perfect release on this throw, if he had power it would b alot longer.... and 167.9 is nothing in oklahoma...

i don't believe this is a 198 foot throw...watching all of these other videos the throw and finish is 3 or 4 times faster and more powerful....
