Quick progress update. I am doing something similar on a pvp server but much much harder. And when I mean harder I mean when I am done they will have to delete the class and redo it from scratch.

Can't say much besides I have been at it for about 4 months and had to restart several times due to issues with how Blizzard gives auto quest completions at level 20 and 40 for receiving riding mail notices. I am trying this new one on 3 different servers so I basically have 2 backups if one dies.

Work in progress. I already died to NPCs in the 20s and had to restart once but I am getting better at it. PVP server means dick really until level 70. There isn' t anybody bothering you in the old world.

So don't worry, you'll have a pvp version (but really much harder and crazy you'll see) before cata hits :)

Try the no death thing on an alt, you will see it gets harder as you progress and adds some tension while opening a whole new game where your actions have consequences.

When I read it on the armoury I actually considered the non quest completion as indictive of fighting 1 level short of grey mobs for the entire levelling process..

No instance runs, no pvp server. Simply put there is no way to fail this except conciously taking a risk and even then you can just reroll.
