@oopfpa Thanks for the comment man, much appreciated. I wasn't tweaking the turbo or brake bias or anything during the lap, I just wanted to get a clean time on the board, not particularly quick that time around. I realise that the '79 circuit is the more correct configuration, I play the '88 version because the slower part at the end is very satisfying in those cars, it's hard to get the power down so it always feels sweet to get a good run out. Have you tried the DRM mod?
The problem wasn't with turn in for me, it was in the way the car dived about under braking. As far as getting a good start, I was always at the back of the grid anyway... . :(
@Ferrari312pb Yeah I'm not as quick with that car as some of the others, there is something weird about the way it turns in. I just turned earlier than you'd expect to and let the understeer take care of it, haha. I think I like the Lotus the most handling-wise.
I'd love a conversion for F1 Challenge, the AI interaction is much better.
Can you get a good start with this mod? I can't at all! I go from pole position to last by Copse every time.
@alistairheeley1 I have to switch to AI control for the start, otherwise I fall behind about 20 places. Just can't get a good start at all, the only thing that lets down a superb mod!
@death2hiphopnRnB Agreed, I've never once had a 'decent' start that I can recall, it is kinda fun controlling the wheelspin if you're at the back but from pole position having the other cars ram you up the arse as you disappear in a cloud of smoke gets a little old.
superb lap! love how you control the power in the low gears coming out of the corners. I'm still shortshifting with this mod.
With this low flywheel weight it's next to impossible to get a proper start. only the arrows is "startable"
btw: just a detail but stictly speaking, to be historically correct, you should be driving this car on silverstone 79.
are you chaging the turbo settings during the lap?

Nice lap. :)
Never could get the hang of the Renault - the front end used to washout under breaking.
