Westjet. pffft, should be called east jet. Why would anyone in western canada fly west jet to the mayan or carribean when AT takes direct flights that dont include stopping in toronto for 2 hours. I feel liike im on a holiday with AT. Westjet vacations bite.
@ThreadyCash2274 Yes but it starts the end of Dec to the end of April I think. And generally, it's more expensive that other departures. So even with the drive/fuel & overnight in Calgary both ends, we save money & got to more of our country!
This may sound like a silly question, but you are sitting on the right side of the aircraft - right? we're taking Air Transat from Edmonton next weekend - our first time to the Mayan Riviera. Is the right side better for videoing on the way down to Cancun?
@MrCars The staff was friendly and the service was good but I find the Air Bus A310 cramped with less room than the Westjet Boeing, also Westjet allows 8 more kg of luggage per person.
@JCVdude And on our return, the Air Transat transfer to the airport left us at the Resort! We checked out and were in the lobby 45 minutes before the pick-up time which is what the Transat Rep told us to do. They didn't even come into the lobby or check with the Bell boys who knew we were waiting. Very poor. With all the travel we've done, this has never happened. Even excursions we go on, the drivers always check in the lobbies, wait a few minutes, call the names before leaving.
@JCVdude Yeah I believe AT configures their A310s as 3-3-3 instead of 2-4-2 ... not really a fault of the plane itself. I loved flying on the A310 - had a couple trips on them when Wardair owned a couple. I think most of that fleet was bought by the Canadian government and converted to VIP and military transport planes.
