also before you try and make your little smart ass shows. you need to do a little research. it was more than just a hotel. it was also a convention center which is where many events are held. so when you live in owensboro, there aren't many other places to hold such events. which makes the executive important to us. no one ever said it is a tourist attraction. you completely made that up, which was the basis for your whole argument making it irrelevant.

It's not bad....but it sure is boring so yeah it was a festival, especially for my friends who worked there, they were dancing a jig! lol. It was a attraction....because that's the only place we had for "stars" to go to and play, our sports center won't allow any stars in since "KISS" caught our last place on fire with fireworks. The big E would bring in country stars and the only one I cared about...Aerosmith. That's about it. Now we will get over priced condos.

I'm in Owensboro, dude. The Executive Inn was more than a hotel. They had a club in there called The Time Out that was the BEST place to hear the best local music. It was also our only place to have concerts, now we won't be able to attract any big names (which sucks). My friend also spent his honeymoon in there. You seem more boondocks than any of my friends here in town.  Peace, beardo.

Ya lol. I guess I would. But actually I am glad to see you comment to help support my case. As for your so called "club" the Time Out. I have been to it before and maybe once you visit a couple of real clubs you will see how not a club it really was. More like a watering hole for the exhibit.

Man, this is Owensboro. Not a big town at all. The closest "real club" is in Nashville. The Time Out was the best we had, for what it's worth. The Big E was the only place to see celebrities or have conventions. If anything, it made us feel like maybe our town was legit. Now what do we have? A dead-ass town getting deader by the minute. They need to put something up in its place. Fast.

Depends on what you like. If you're like most of the people in Owensboro and like either traditional country or heavy rock then the Time Out was NOT for you. If, however, you like your music to be a bit more intelligent then the Time Out was perfect.

That may be true. But that has nothing to do with the place itself, just the acts that performed there. I've seen quite a few decent bands play in Owensboro at other bars.
