  • hands down the best tricep workout is skull crushers with an E Z curl bar with your hands as close to each other as possible, believe me u will definitly feel it in the tries for the next 2-3 days if u do it right

  • Oh...so that's why I don't quite feel anything when I do the Rope Pushdowns.

    I always end up loosing my focus and stability when I pull it down.^^'

  • When doing triceps kick backs the arm should not come out of tension, in other words don't let the forearm go to verticle on the way down.

  • I often use this exercise. It rocks, I also get a pump when doing it! You can also do it while laying down, but I prefer it seated as Kris does it .

  • on the kickbacks if he turned the dumbell when its at the top it would work the inside of the tricep as well as the outside and you fill it alot more

  • it's impossible to get big arms like that sexy guy has with just a few simple repetitions. Your workout would not also have to include wights training but also cardio vascular training, not to mention a strict diet packed with tons of protein (for muscle building)

    so the only thing that could happen to your muscles is for them to tone up A BIT!

  • both.... haha you must be a beginner. basically any exercise gaines (he performs) builds muscle. doesn't matter if you're a beginner or not. advanced workouts are basically the ones who are used to working out and 3 sets just doesn't cut it so they do more excersices.

  • Yes, if you truely want big arms you should aim to hit whole muscle fibres, make sure you do use light weights lots of times for your arm workouts, eg, biceps and triceps

  • It's for both. If you wanna get bigger arms, you progress with adding more weight, and even if you have big arms, you can still do these in a superset for the tris to get maximum tension, those are really good workouts, I do 2/3 of them, I never did this last one, so I'mma try with that aswell

  • u should start doing just 1 tricep exercise every 2 days so ur muscles get used to training for like 3-5 weeks and then u should do this (3 exercises)

  • its an either or situation, if u dont know what it means, it can go either way. for beginners start with a small weight, but work your way up, but i'd say only up to 20lbs for the last one. the first one really does work, but you should also consider doing triceps dips, w.e u wanna call'em

  • 60 - 90 secs

  • Not long man try and make sure your taking as little rest as possible to really get a nice burn in.

  • 30 seconds to a min between reps and 2 to 3 min between sets. try to alternate the workouts that work different parts of the muscle.

  • its ok to do 2 trainings of arms per week, but just be sure that minimum time between the trainings be 3 days.

    its very hard to make ur muscles look contracted all the time, so don`t worry about it....

    Also try working out all muscle groups equally every week, don`t just do arms or chests or something else to mush.

  • u might be overtraining...if u think about it ur are already doing triceps when doing presseing exercises on chest and shoulders so i limit my arm workouts to whenever i have a chance but no more than twice a week. i got 17" arms relaxed

  • diet and nutrition is very important, you gotta eat to help repair your body, because if you dont eat your not repairing and then you dont build any muscle

  • try to keep at least 5 days in between working the same muscle. the most important part of muscle building is rest. working out the same muscles too much is worse than not working out.

  • for an exercise to be a shaper/toner means for the exercise to have low weights and high reps. this give your muscle a better look, it won't make the muscle bigger but it'll make it look more cut and shaped.

  • The best are full body workouts 3 times per week. Workout 1 could consist of

    Power Clean 3x5

    Squats 3x5

    Barbell Rows 3x8

    Wide Grip Chins 3x10

    Weighted Situps 3x12

  • using heavy weight doesnt mean you're going to get big, its actually using a weight that you can lift with perfect form... high weight with fewer unclean reps tends to build more strength than size

  • isolation movements, such as pulldowns or skull crushes seem to make the certain muscle grow(tricep), faster than a tricep superset. i find supersets dont do much for me, as they only tone. but if thats what your looking for, go for it :)

  • I began doing the triceps kickback about 2 months ago and I have really noticed the difference on the definition of my triceps.

  • It's my opinion through experience that tricep kickbacks are pretty much a worthless exercise. They're hard on the elbows and even the shoulders. Rope pushdown/pulldowns and overhead extensions are good "secondary exercises", but the way to mass in the triceps is through things like dips and close grip bench pressing.

    Also, the terms "shaping" and "toning" don't belong in muscle building - again, just an opinion - because the muscle either grows or it doesn't.

  • Depends on your definition of strength. Having big muscles doesnt mean your going to hit harder than a smaller guy. Im not really that big of a guy probably about 170lbs but i have more power in my punches than most big guys at my gym.

  • preferrably for a great balance of strength and physique, for your first set you do 12. second you do 10. and third you do 8. too more reps gives more physique, and less reps with heavy wait gives you more bulk

  • It's a back to back work out where u perform exercises targeting opposite muscles or opposite movements. Like a pulling and pushing exercise; bench press and back row. Or a bicep workout and tricep workout. Do it almost immediately and lesser rest period.

    1st - a 10kg dumbell and 10 reps

  • errr...i dont really know wut ur asking, but one set can have anywhere from 1 rep to infinity reps...if that makes sence? ex first set =5 reps, second set - 10 reps, third set u go 12 sets

  • The last exercise is the best one to work your tricep. With the right weight, you feel the tricep well worked the day after.

  • I've been working at it for a while personally i find bodyweight exercises are by far the best exercises. CLOSE GRIP PUSH UPS PERFECT FORM(back straight, nose to the ground) NUFF SAID. If there not hard enough strap weight to you back.

  • theoreticlly yes but you have to do exserseses that will isolate the muscle that you wanna train.

    this way you can gain muscle more quicklly.

  • depends on what goes for you. I'll take myself as an example. I feel that doing how many times isn't important. So, what I do is I set a time for the things I do. like, 1 minute x how many repeats, so I can make sure that my muscles are working to the amount I desire. I hope it helps. good luck!
