This is damn near identical to my White belt grading. I have went from red to white to yellow in 6 months and I'm going for orange a week from today. When we do ours it's with a partner of our choice and in front of everyone. Plus it's ten times faster and more aggressive.

It's the Novice Kata. Is it part of your Syllabus? If it isn't then you won't have to worry about grading for it.

Where I'm training, we are given a red belt as a begginer and we earn the white belt at our first grading. Cheers!
