Google G1 downgrade 1. 5 to RC29

Hey, Big Fan of ur videos, i have a problem i know u can help me with. I have a G1 and im pretty new to them however im a qucik learner. Basically my firmware is 1.0 which is the most primitive as u already know. Id like to upgrade my G1 to the cupcake but i have no idea how, could u please help me. I live in Jamaica and not the states however im still able to access the internet on my phone with ease. Thnx

hello, i have got a little bit problem by doing this....my g1 stuck at 3:40.. it does says power for update and action for cancel..but it won't do anything..i press power and nothing happening.i press action and nothing happening...fusion20b..do u feel this same way...anybody, got an idea... i really need to root this phone....thanks you....

@Shrapnelist try putting another software boot on it ; something higher than what you have on it . and then try to hold power and home button and then click alt l to open a menu and install that update

I had a htc dream rooted fully booted with a eclair mod and clockwork recovery unfortunately it was very slow so someone tried to flash stock rom... but he flashed a radio and rom that is for developers phone only!!! and now here I am... :(

hey man, i need a little help.

when i try to go to that color screen, it goes normal right, it then goes to the grey screen but its just stuck on loading...

is there any way maybe yo can help, i also try to hard reset but when i turn it on it just says G1 logo then it goes black and starts vibrating.

Have you done any updates that t mobile has sent over the air.. try to recopy the file on a formated SD and remember to hold the camera button and the power button at the same time.

im attempting this and have not been able to get it to work yet. when i try to downgrade it says there is no file and then quickly goes back to the rainbow screen. i have formatted my sd card a few times and only have the file on it

It means you didn't copy the file correctly. Please format to fat32 and copy the file and remember DO NOT RENAME the file. THIS DOWNGRADE DOSE NOT WORK ON ROOTED G1'S

Ok first off. This dose not work on rooted phones. ..If you cant get out of the rainbow screen just reboot and install manually the 1.5 cupcake back. So far I have done this on 26 customers G1's and all passed.
