  • omg i wish i could play with squirrels! i just love them!

  • soo cute.... O.O

  • O.O i want one... and the one a 2:17 is awsome!...they all are

  • They don't make easy pets. These were released back into the wild as adults.

  • did you release those into the wild?

reason i ask is cuz i have a baby squirrel and its been with me for like 2 monts already but it still does not let me grab him only when i feed him and he tries to attack me thinking im taking his food away!!!! help plz

  • Yes, I did.

If your squirrel is truly wild, I recommend building or buying a squirrel house, letting your squirrel get used to the house, and then putting the house up in a nearby tree so you can release it. If your squirrel can crack shelled nuts, it should be fine. You can put food in a bird feeder to help supplement it in the wild.

  • I found a baby once. I felt it was such a blessing to be able to look at that cute little face every day. Like you, I had to make sure it was not touched after a certain age, so that we could release it back into the wild and be a "squirrel". It may never happen in my lifetime again, but it sure was a blessing. Cuteeeeee!

  • awesome!

  • SO CUTE

  • they are sooooooooooo cute!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Thats so nice how the baby squirrels are so tame !I love squirrels they are funny animals!they make you laugh when they chase each other and do all their flips and tricks.

  • dont squirrels have rabies?

  • Almost never, though I still don't recommend grabbing one to check. As a wildlife rehabilitator, I also have an up to date rabies vaccination.

  • I WANT ONE!!!

  • They don't make easy pets, these were released into the wild as adults.

  • my fiance worked for a tree company and would rescue baby squirels and bring them home to me, the youngest was only a week old, i miss taking care of the squirels. the video gave me a smile

  • Was that squirrel trying to bite your toe? That would have been painful

  • No, just play nibbling.

  • aw thats cute:)

  • I used to have a squirrel. He fell out of a tree. We raised him from when he was still a baby.

  • aww the one sleeping in the pocket is so cute!

  • AW SO CUTE!!!!!

  • I got two teen-aged squirrels, me n my sis found them as babies, we love them but planning on letting them go when theyre old enough...is feeding them natural nuts, and squashed squash good?

  • As treats, but not as a main diet. If squirrels have nutrient deficiencies from the food they are getting they usually die.

  • Oh ok, thank you very much, We released them into the wild about a Month ago, they still visit though :)

  • I want a Squirrel :D

  • They don't make easy pets, these were released into the wild as adults.

  • good job thats cool do u have a update please?

  • These were successfully released into the wild.

  • they are soo cute! but watch out. squrils have many disease :(

  • Just about everything does! But as a wildlife rehabilitator I do everything I can to avoid zoonotic diseases.

  • ...Aww. They're so tame!

  • Only as babies... they're wild and free now.

  • NAWW i want one SOO bad but i live in australia :( poo!

  • They aren't an easy pet, these were rehabilitated and released into the wild as adults.

  • there are no Squirrels in my country. How do they attack humans? do they bite?

  • They jump at your eyes and/or bite.

  • i like squirrels

  • So cute

  • is that darth vader flying in behind them, or are my star wars ears not work anymore???

  • What state? I am a rehabilitator in N.Y. I do mostly cottontails & squirrels. Love Flying squirrels.

  • South Carolina

    Cool!

  • very nice clip, very cute animals

  • How do I Get a Pet Squirrel, please tell me. I care about Squirrels because I Love them!!

  • I don't know, these aren't pets and were released as wild adult squirrels. Once squirrels grow up they need a LOT of room, they attack anyone who didn't raise them, they chew things up, and they pee everywhere. So, not really an easy pet.

  • gotta get me a squirrel!

  • They get wild once they aren't babies.

  • Oh, the precious thing in your pocket! Adorable.

  • OMG, I would love a job where I could play with squirrels. What kind of qualifications do you need in order to work at a wildlife place?

  • there all so adorable

  • 43 seconds is so adorable

  • so cute

  • what's the difference between a red squirrel and a gray one. i know that they can eat the walls in your house if they get in. are the red ones less wild? thanks for posting this.

  • They are two different species and they are both very wild. Squirrels chew things up to keep their constantly growing teeth filed down, so they can really damage the inside of a house.

  • Beautiful. Creation is amazing.

  • That would tickle like MAD!!

  • I never knew they could climb brick walls!

I had a baby squirrel and raised it and released back into the wild, but he always seemed to come back to visit me.

When he was little, I had a pink robe I hung on the door and he would sleep in it's pockets.

He would also go into the bathroom and steal the bathroom tissue.

We had alot of fun with him.

He doesn't come around anymore, but his kids do:)

  • awesome work. thanks for sharing. i love squirrels.

  • I could watch this over and over again ...

  • My friend got bitten by a squirell...

  • nice

  • hey im just wondering, it looks like ur in a garage or something with the dooor, wide open, arnt u afraid those innocent lil squirells would wander off??

  • I'm in a screened in enclosure.

  • They remind me of my Baby Squirrel I raised. She fell out of a tree in my yard, Her eyes wernt even open. Boy, I had good times with her, sadly she passed away two years ago from a seizure she had from falling from a high up tree.

  • I wish i had sqirrels as pets. It's kind of cool! I love animals.

  • They don't really make easy pets. They need a LOT of room, chew things up, pee everywhere, and they attack anyone who didn't raise them as babies.

  • they come that close?

  • I'm a wildlife rehabilitator so I raised these and released them as adults.

  • It was a pleasant surprise when you turned to your right and seeing a squirrel also in your pocket. In the summer they climb into my bedroom window to get food.

  • in san francisco i feed squirrels, i can just sit and they'll be crawling all over my lap, licking my fingers, if i try to leave they jump on me wanting to come with me.

squirrels are adorable, i love them.

  • squirrels sometimes come down my chimney and it always runs around the house for ten minutes until we chase it out the house. I thought it was pretty cool

  • haha the origional 'rodent up the pant leg' trick lol

  • keep it up.

  • Man , you are TRUE animal friend (im too) and squirrels are one of my favorite animals :) very nice video and cute squirrels, did they have any name? it can be kinda hard to give they any names becouse they looks exactly same.

  • They did, but I can't remember which ones this was a video of now.

  • Hey how do you get those at your house.. ha.h.ah.ha.. I wan't some in my back yard too.. h.ahha

  • I'm a wildlife rehabilitator.

  • They think that we are going to eat them. That's why they stay away.

  • they want to bite your hands off not scard?

  • They're very tame until they are adults and ready to be released.

  • That's so cute.

  • they must think your leg is a pine tree, haha

  • Aww one was sleeping in your shirt.

  • nice and cute as cute as dandysquirrel!

  • too cute. We have a nest in our tree. We feed them once in a while (mostly nuts) they keepa safe distance they will come up on the porch step and know we will be out to feed them. They wait. I'll toss a few things out and they go one their way. Their good neighboors! Not pets :-)

  • now that is a first. someone to pull a squirrel out his sleeve.

  • i want one!

  • sooooooooooo cute!

  • are those squirrels cute. i'm glad this person is not teasing them.

  • SO CUTE! I'd love to raise squirrels, but they'd probably chew up furniture and stuff like that...

  • Don't forget peeing on it, too! They are better outdoors than in.

  • there my fave animal

  • Squirrels are so cute, I want one!

  • You have an airplane infestation

  • i have a squirrel and his name is rusty. iwe usually let him run aroud on the couch for an hour and they jump around a lot

  • Nice feet

  • look on 1:30 its a frikkin spider-squirrel. i bet if there was squirrel-man he would slap spider-mans bitchass every time

  • You're doing a great job... but still they are so cute I would love to have this pleasure to cuddle such a nice little fellow !

  • it's a real cute vid. Gotta love those squirrels! I just hope for the dude that the squirrel that climbed up his pant leg is a girl...

  • The "dude" wearing the pants is a girl, also.

  • I recommend that people don't keep them as pets thier wild animals

  • I agree.

  • yay, squirrels!

  • U R Awesome :) empathy and compassion for all!

  • that is so amazing ~ you experience what others never get a chance to! youre an awesome person ^-^

  • careful they like nuts.. haha

    very sweet video...

  • so cute!

  • Get a large container of cayenne pepper and mix that with your bird seed instead. Birds can't taste the heat in peppers, but mammals can.

  • Does that really work? That seems a little too easy considering there are thousands of "anti-squirrel" bird feeders out there.

  • Yes, and there is commercial feed with peppers in it for the same reason. If your birds don't eat your seed fast enough it is possible the pepper would get old and not hot enough to deter the squirrels.

  • Meh, doesn't matter. I'm pro-squirrel anyway.

  • Rats with furry tails!

  • The hot sensation of peppers doesn't effect birds or reptiles, only mammals.

Hot peppers are, naturally, seeded by birds.

  • Sometimes they did.

  • I could watch them like hours :-) I wish there would be live-webcam stream of these cuties :-)

  • this is so cute!!!

  • R THEY UR PETS? ----- DO U BREED THEM?

  • No and nope.

  • thats a great job you do there !!

  • I love this video...thanks for posting it.

I wish all humans were this kind

  • My husband runs a loader in a pit and be-friended a family of red fox. The mother was cautious but eventually allowed him to hand feed her..soon after the babies followed. We have pics of 1 sleeping by his feet while the other 2 played on the front end. He was always careful what he fed them so they could survive in the wild. We worred terribly about them last winter...but low and behold they showed back up the following spring. Its been 4yrs and they still come to him when he works there alone

  • Great now I need some insuline because that was too sweet ;)

  • Cute, but don't they need to be afraid of humans? (google squirrel slingshot)

  • They need to trust me as their "mother" until they are weaned and have learned their life skills, and then I make sure they are no longer tame before they are released. The squirrels I've released do not come near me or any other human.

  • I looked at the info for a second and when i first looked at the video i thought it was a skunk!

  • dont understand why some people hate squrriels.

    they are so cute.

  • Aww, I wish I had a squirrel

  • Cuuuute! ^^ Glad to hear that they are where they belong now thou, squirrels are wildlife animals, keeping them too long and they may approach humans that are hostile towards them. I kno i know, humans are stupid.

  • Wonderful. Thanks for being such

    a good earthling.

  • omg sooooo cute ^_^

    I want a pet squirrel now :P

  • Okay, but these aren't pets and they grew out of their tame behavior before they were released to the wild. Glad you enjoyed it!

  • Yeah, abducting neighborhood squirrels might not be the best idea, but they're still adorable :)

They cracked me up nibbling on your toes!

Such a great video! Thanks for sharing it.

  • these lil guys made my day <3

  • where did you find them ?

  • They were brought to me, I'm a wildlife rehabilitator.

  • This is a nice video...you are very kind!:)

  • how you do with those crap ?? No offend, im really need your help cuz i can see in this vid, your an expert about squirrels. I have a baby squirrel about 2 month, i planned to release he back to natural this spring (about next 6 months).

The problem is seems like my baby growing teeth so he bite everything he saw, and i cant teach him to pee pee, poo poo to the right place... which is means he SHIT everywhere ...T-T.

I just love him and thats why i dont want to cage him.

  • "It's illegal to have squirrels in your pants for the purposes of gambling"

  • Squirrels are fun to watch as you will end up laughing. If you hand raised them like these, would they make a good pet as an adult or is it a risk that they may bite you?

  • They are extremely likely to bite you, and even more likely to bite any human who wasn't involved with raising them. They won't be nice to your friends when you have company. I personally would rather not have one as a pet, and these are now living in the forest.

  • these are some of my favourite rodents. I know there is alot of kinds of squirrels but the black squirrel is my favourite, this kind you see around pine tree and stuff then theres the red squirell wich is smaller i think and then theres black squirrels the biggest and they hang around my backyard lol i dont know what there all called. I just learned all this stuff from watching animals.

  • that is so cute! i love squirrels, how did you obtain yours? :0) shall i go hunting?

  • I hope not. I'm a wildlife rehabilitator, these squirrels are not tame anymore and now live outside where they can jump through treetops. I'm glad you love squirrels!

  • I raised a red Squirrel from a baby. They are sweet as pets but determined they are not for every household. They demand much attention and supervision!!

  • Were these abandon babies?

  • Yes, they've been released back to the wild at this point.

  • You are so lucky to have such sweet dumplings for neighbors! Do they still live ther with you? A squirrel use to come into my house and I would feed him peanuts! God bless you and your friends! Peace Out!

  • I see them in my yard at my feeder sometimes.

  • to cute:))

  • Aww! They are sooooooooooo cute! Kudos to you for saving their lives and the lives of other squirrelies! :)

  • i want a baby squirrel so badly. my friends & family think im crazy.

  • Funny squirrels...Thx for post it.

  • why were they all on you

  • Rehabilitated squirrels are tame until they reach adulthood and are ready for release.

  • how do you get them? nice vid, cute squirrels =)

  • I'm a wildlife rehabilitator.

  • its amazing theyre going extinct where I live.

  • OMG their so cute! you HAVE to be proud to have a job like this!!!!!!!! I want a baby squirrl :P Their just so cute and the one in your pockt was sooooooo adorable!

  • lol

  • how do you get squirel

  • These were wild orphans which were released back to the wild.

  • so cute

  • im completly jealous!!

All the best with your amzing area of work!

  • lol i rehabilitated a 2 week old squirrel, its mother died in the park and we i took care of it untill the humane society said he was old enough

  • Squirrels is soooooooooooooooooooo cute!!!!!!

  • they are too cute..I love watching our backyard squirrels (though my husband wishes they would move far far away because they destroy our garden...so do the bunnies)

I cant imagine touching one or holding them.

Will they be over friendly to another human now that they have bonded with you? or will they just be like every other squirrel and scamper when you get too close?

  • Not at all, in fact they attack any human that wasn't directly involved in raising them. For this and many reasons I don't recommend them as pets.

  • iiiiiiiiiii how cute

  • they remind me of my rats! to cute!

  • i had a pet squirrels too actually my dad did, they behave when my pops around but they play with me as if i was their brother or some thurr bites and scratches hurt!

  • cute!!but be careful, I had a pet squirrel. when he grew up and hit mating season he went PSYCHO on me one day, literally CHASED me into my house from his huge home i made for him in the back yard, and attacked my family in the kitchen during dinner. Had to call animal control to come get him after everyone finally escaped and locked themselves in various rooms. I swear to you , its true. he was so sweet...then BAM!! RUUUUUUUUN! and believe me, when they jump on you, you can't get away!

  • A wonderful illustration of why I don't believe they make good pets. I make sure they do not come near humans before I release them, as I would not want them doing this to my neighbors.

  • i have like three trees in my backyard and i always see squirrels i totally want to touch them but they move too fast .. i wish i could hold one!

    :( :P

  • I love how they were playing with your toes. xD <3

And the one sleeping in your pockets all snuggly. :3

  • These guys are too cute! I didn't realize they could be so friendly. :3

  • Squirrels are so cute! ^-^
