@EvilLamas Hello there ! yes it has one 12ax7 tube in wich the guitar signal runs through , a digital fx sound effects section and uses a solid state transformer for power , The ac4tv is a small 4 watt "Oldschool" Fulltube amp wich has no effects and It uses Tubes for sound and power .They are both completeley different amps ! !!

i have it. A great and versatile amp for exercises. Even if you are a beginner its worth its money, i'd recommend not to buy a cheap eBay-beginner set amp and spend some more money for this amp, you don't need any stompboxes for extra money, as you can see its all included. Highly recommended, plenty bang for your buck.

@MultiScoffer Line 6 will still do fine - they throw money at Metal players to get them to say they use Line 6 for practice, so all the kids buy them.

I got a epiphone les paul the other day and am pretty impressed but I couldn't get an amp at that time so I'm getting one in a few weeks. I was reccomended the Vox tube amp by my teacher and It was either the Vt+20w or VT15w. They are both the same price but the watts are different?!?!?! so how do I know which one is better help plz!!

Just bought one of these. Great tone! What a difference compared to my old Marshall MG15CD!!

I am still playing about with the many combinations of effects, programs, etc... it's great. It also has an optional pedal to switch between programs which costs about £50.

For £129 I think it's a very good deal. I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a good practice amp.

@cikicrocus 1 watt is quite loud still.i played it in a shop and still not full volume because i didnt want to be too loud...nice tone it had but not so much different tones from that amp...but if its the tone you like..then its good...the vox vt15 also sounded good to me..

@stevoe1000 actualy different tones are not really important for me, one tone is enough as long as it is the one that I am after..anyway I ordered the blackstar. we'll see how it is gonna be :)..I could not try the vt20+ but I tested the vt30xl. It was good but I didnt feel anything overwhelming and bought the blackstar without testing :(..If it is gonna be a failure then I think I will have to throw a pedal in front of it and will solve the problem...hopefully..

@Pianoblacks They want to sell thier stuff, that is why. It is a very good shop and I buy usually all my stuff there, since it is a 15min drive for me. So do not see this as a review and more as a presentation to sell this amp (or what else). BTW: Session Music and Musik Schmidt is one company. They seem to change thier name to be more international. Guess they want to do the same as Thomann, sell thier stuff around the world.

ich hab das teil. habs vorher ein paar mal probiert. und ja der klingt manchmal ein bisschen unnatürlich aber das lässt sich alles regeln wenn man ein bissl tube od reinmacht oder so. aber es is ein modeling amp. und da gibt es fast keine firma die nen richtig echt klingenden hinkriegt. aber für das geld is er hamma also in preis leistung unschlagbar.

@WaffelMus nope...also je nachdem was du meinst. ein 50watt hat jetz nich mehr headroom als en 30watt nur weil er mehr watt hat. es kommt immer auf die art des speakers an. so kann zum beispiel ein 8" deutlich besser klingen als ein 12 oder 15". größer wird der unterschied wen du 2 speaker hast. aber der klang an sich wird in der preisklasse in der vox sich bewegt nicht beeinträchtigt. grade bei transistor verstärkern is des mit dem klang immer so ne sache xDD

@MrIbanez111 Das kommt wahrscheinlich durch die laptop/PC Boxen.Ich hab den Vox VT50 und der hört sich einfach hammer an.Fahr an besten in nen Laden und probiers selber aus ^^

Du bist wohl besseres gewohnt ;-) Plastiksound kann ich nicht bestätigen, hab ihn gestern vor Ort getestet, der macht ordentlich Druck. Vielleicht solltest du selbst mal testen.

Sehr gutes review! Aber irgendwie werd ich das gefühl nicht los, dass Vox einfach das tonelab st genommen hat und in einen combo eingepflanzt hat.hmmm:D
